Halo Reach - All New Game

A few months ago, Stuart Beattie was pitching a movie entitled Halo: Fall of Reach to microsoft, so my guess is that this is the movie, but I refuse to jump for joy until we know for sure.

Well, Bungie said Halo 3 was the last in that particular story arch. So I expect this game to seen from a different character or maybe different characters (if they allow you to choose your spartan, that would be cool, running faster as Kelly, cloaking as Joshua??, Blowing stuff up as Grace).

Knowing Bungie, they won't make a crappy tie-in game. Still as Adam said, I wouldn't mind seeing the skydiving part of the book.

Well Bungie have said Halo 3: Recon is the last in line, From THEM.
So it's possible for another Halo game, But it wont be from Bungie.
They don't even own the rights to.
All Bungie can do is add expansions to Halo 3, As far as my knowledge goes, they're not even allowed to make another game.
And considering this is on Bungie.net

Think about it, There isn't a Halo Wars forum is there? Because It's not Bungie, And Bungie aren't allowed to design a new game.

I doubt it will be another Halo 3 Expansion. Not while we have ODST still underway.

A film would be great, A game would be better.
But both are as unrealistic as eachother.
Bungie aren't film specialists. Yeah they could obviously get a different company to make the film of course, But then why make forums about it so early?
It wouldn't be a book. I can't think what it would be. Guess we'll have to wait.

Its not an expansion.
Bungie said they were done with Halo 3 additions.
Not the Halo franchise.
They can still make Halo games if they please.
Microsoft wouldn't just blow Bungie off from their own games. Even if Microsoft owns the rights to Halo doesn't mean Bungie can't make the games.

I think it means precisely that. If Bungie doesn't own the copyrights to it anymore, they can't do a thing without permission from Microsoft. Out of all the speculations, I find a film the most logical one. Although, I'm not sure how feasible that is, how possible and probable, nor whether I'd want that myself...

All this said, I'm sure someone told me a while ago about the possibility/rumour of the film being related to Reach, so...who knows.

EDIT:
One more thought - how can we know that Bungie and Microsoft haven't renewed their partnership just for one more title? Both companies have been (in)famous for their secrecy about the upcoming releases.

Frankly, I think it'd be the other way around. We'd have an awesome FoR game with a crappy movie tie-in. I mean, from what I've heard, Beattie's script sucked massively...
