how soon do we know if we were or werent picked for a contest prior to the big weekend?
I believe its going to be through either discord or your gmail. The forms asked for several ways to contact you so we can assume it'll be one of those or all of them. If you don't get contacted you likely weren't selected. However I haven't been to worlds before or done the cosplay contest so take what I say with a grain of salt.
Based off of the last 2 times I've gone, we won't know till about October and then we will be reached out to by the organizers to be added to the contest thread on the Halo discord. Based off of our sign ups though I do believe there is space for everyone (on our sign up sheet) to be included.
Thats more of a "if you're here in armor then please be at the sky bridge for doors to open" kind of event. Not required but definitely something you'll want to try and make it to if you can.
If that isn’t feasible is there someone specific I would need to contact when arriving? Also do I need to arrive already in armor or will there be space to change?
Changing space would be a NobleofDeath16 question, we had one last year. And there isn't quite anyone you should need to contact unless you're needing to pick up a badge as part of the cosplay contest.
