Identifying type of HALO armor

Hi, guys!
I'm still in the planning state for my build, but I've got this pic of a really sweet suit. I'm not sure what type it is though; I've been lurking the forums for some time now and I haven't been able to find any pics of this specific suit. A lot of people speak of their suits as "Mark VI" and such, so it got me thinking about this one. Picture below:

So, the question would be, is this a real pic from the game or is it a contemporary image of Master Chief?

thats a halo wars spartan suit there is a pep file for it on the halo wiki

Halo Wars, not Master Cheif. I think its either the mark V or IV. I don't believe they go into that much detail in game, it's probaly just a rendition.

Thats a mk iv if i'm not mistaken.
Its from halo wars. there's a thread of the armor a long time ago try searching for it in the forums. good luck!

I believe that is MK IV. If you dont get roman numerals, thats 4. Its in halo wars. Then next on the timeline, is halo CE, and Reach, with the MK V, (5). Then theres 2 and 3, which use MK VI, (6).

If you read the writing at the very bottom of the pix, you'll see that it is just a "character render" from halo wars. and as the date on the pic is about a week BEFORE the release of Halo 3, that would make it the Mark IV armour... albeit a VERY high definition artists render of it.

Nice find though, Very cool!

Agreed, it's HD, but if it's possible to make suit like it, it would be downright awesome!

That is actually a custom render of Mjolnir Mark IV armor. The in-game model had a few variations to it. Everything has actually been modeled by different designers.
