Hello to everyone of the 405th. My name is Kyle, also known as Recon V17 throughout the interwebz. For some time now I have been a huge fan of the halo series and always wanted to immerse myself as much as humanly possible into its world. I always find myself playing the games, reading the stories, watching and filming the machinima, and trying to anticipate Bungies every move. As I’m sure you can imagine, like most diehard halo fans I also wanted to know what it would be like to walk in the boots (or armor) of the Master Chief, or any of the characters of the Halo series for that matter. Be it the lowly Marine or the badass ODST; I wanted it all.

I would always find myself watching videos or looking at pictures of these fellow fans wearing incredibly well made replicated armor sets and be left wondering, “just where in the world are these guys getting these?” I always thought that they must have spent a large sum of cash and had someone like Nightmare Armor Studios makes these costumes for them. I had no idea that with one little Google search I could find an entire community of people who actually build these magnificent pieces of work out of their own garages. Now, here I am, ready to build and learn, not just so I can strut around and show off my geeky persona at the next convention; but so I can be around like minded people who love creating and being a part of this massive fan base.

Favorite part of halo: The first Halo.. yea it was a bit more like "oh damn we're on an alien world and they want me dead.. guess i'll kill everything" but it had an intelligent story and though simple, had many elements of fantasy in it that made it a much better FPS than all the garbage we see nowadays and not too far into "fantasy"
