I just recently completed my first helmet but I've improvised where I could since I wanted to try my hand at it before reading any more advanced tutorials (resin, fiberglassing, etc.) I found that the original visor plans weren't very good in the end, so I used another helmet model's visor design and used very thin but sturdy plastic sheets with one side covered with chrome car-windshield tint.

Hello! My name is Dan. I'm from Chicago, and I work at Starbucks (I make the best drinks in the state). My biggest hobby is music. I love making and listening to about every kind of music there is. I also love video games, but as a cash strapped kid I don't have teh moneys for an xbox. I have to get my fix by playing the PC version of Combat Evolved. I found this site watching the indy mogul video about creating armor, and decided to give it a go. Currently I'm putting together the right fore arm. Right now it looks less like a piece of armor and more like contemporary art, but I hope that it will get better soon. I'm apt to start new things and quickly lose interest. I'm trying to break that habit, and this seems like a nice community to do that in. I look forward to getting to know y'all and maybe meeting some of you at a convention down the road.
