I decided on waiting before continuing my Locus print. Instead I will be working an ODST suit. Im using the armor I found in an art which consists of a Helljumper Helmet & Vigilant Armor. My goal is to use the “textured” sand spray paint for the armor. I also plan on adding some Arizona art from around my childhood home. The visor I will either make a red or purple to mimic the Arizona sunset. I cant wait to work on it! For now enjoy the parts Ive printed (minis) to see what supports would be best

Can’t wait to see how this turns out, always love an ODST helmet and I’m sure the Arizona theme will be absolutely awesome!

This will be so cool, the Arizona flag is definitely one of my favorite state flags (besides Colorado, of course!) and using its colors and Arizona art will be super unique. My dad grew up in Arizona too, so I definitely grew up around a lot of its iconography.

I did a mini helmet and spray painted using Textured Spray paint, Matte Clear Coat, and the black was supposed to be clear lacquer but apparently was black. Kinda looks cool though. Was impatient so much of the paint did not fully stick

These are all using MoeSizzlac's Thingiverse files for Buck's Halo 5 Helljumper Helmet and Jun's Noble 3 Halo Reach armor.

The rings were sizing holes for the arms and the black are for the shin. All fit well but I've decided to try and switch the armor set to the ODST armor for better luck with other items. Again another one of Moe's beautiful files!

Going on with the helmet pieces

#1 - Helmet piece attempt with estimate measurements, even cuts
#2 - Properly sized and cut with help of D3LTA, printed vertical at a 45 degree angle
#3 - Attempt 2 at Vertical
#4 - Attempt 3 at Vertical
Not numbered/#5 - Cut neck piece in half, printed flat vertical

Next Helmet
#1 - Back Left piece of properly fitted and cut helmet. 1 attempt, vertical

Next Piece
#1 - Vertical print, Front Left helmet, layer off, top completely off
#2 - Attempt 2, top off
#3 - Horizontal (New printer), no problems as of yet 28hrs into 45hr print

Chest
#1 - Printed with estimate measurements, no other prints done

Next updates will be with the finished left half of helmet, finished sizing of new armor

OOO I didn't think about incorporating the flag into somewhere on the armor
