He was one of the greats along with Lenny Bruce. Sorry that we've lost him. It's a sad day for the comedy world.

George,

I can't remember the last time I shed a tear in the last .. 8 years but I shed those very tears now.

May you rest in peace. My idol, mentor and personal hero. I lived every moment of my life by your teachings.

Dreadfully,
Joe Grossman III

Poor guy... he contributed a lot.

RUFUS! Listen to this man rufus, he knows what he's talking about!

It's sad....

I think Carlin was the only comedian who ever made me laugh so hard it hurt.

He will be missed.

It's like my mom always said, they come in threes it seems. First we lost Stan Winston and now George Carlin... :(

Let's just hope that if the threes thing is true, that no one I admire deeply such as these two goes, or anyone for that matter. He was a great guy who loved to make people laugh, and he was good at it. Probably one of the best comedians ever, he was probably at the top of my list, with Jeff Dunham behind him. I'll still listen/watch his stuff, for it should be remembered for generations to come (and I have no doubt it'll last until then, and probably even beyond).

I heard about this on the radio on the way into work.

Basically this was my reaction...

I'd find his bit on the afterlife, but it seems not to be on YouTube.

I loved Carlin's comedy, he was a visionary, a genius, a fellow atheist :rolleyes and he will be missed. He was my idol, and i followed his teaching through his comedy, to the point where my parents got mad. He was a hero to many, including yours truly. He was probably the funniest man i have ever heard, but very explicit and raw, but that is what makes it funny. I cant believe he actually is gone forever. If you heard his stuff, he said that dead people are too buzy zippin around the universe to be lookin down at you, caring. I hope he is up there now, havin a hell of a time, while the world mourns his death.

i just cant believe he is gone. He was a true entertainer and comedic genius. George, this one is for you.....

This is a sad day for mankind. A bright (yet strangely dark) light has gone out of our view forever.

Truely sad.....i dont want him gone...

Thats an understatement.
He was cool, one of my favorites was "Why do people lock the public bathrooms? Are they afraid someones going to clean them?" Hes a pretty funny guy. RIP George.
