Hey everyone, I'm currently building a pair of ODST cosplays with a friend. I could never find a proper thread for a comparison between the many ODST 3D print files available. In frustration, I just decided to buy three of the models so that I could compare and decide which one to print. I'm sure this will help someone else decide which files to purchase or which ones to mix-and-match.

This is between Aguilar, FromTheBrink, and Galactic Armory.

A couple observations I've made while pouring through these resources:
  • (Opinion) Aguilar's files are the most convenient due to built-in attachments for straps.
  • (Opinion) Galactic Armory files are arguably the best sculpted with high mesh density, but not always the most detailed
  • Galactic Armory gives you no method of attachment. It's up to you to figure it out, good luck!
  • FromTheBrink gives you whole pieces in one file as an option, which are excellent for previewing sizes and cutting yourself.
  • Certain vendors have more detail in pieces and less in others. It makes mix and matching strongly preferred if you want the most "accurate".
  • Scales vary wildly across the vendors. Make sure you size to your specific file.
Pics attached. Enjoy, Helljumpers!

This is awesome! Thank you for your sacrifice o7

My ODST was all GA, but there are parts that I may change out as I upgrade it.

I'll add to that mix... The free set from Moesizzlac is really quite good as well. My own ODST was a mix of Moe and G.A.
For example, I prefer Moe's chest to G.A.'s, Moe had the radio "Mickey" pack - that sort of thing.

I noticed before that the Shoulders on Aguilar's are also two parts with a hinge, which is closer to the lore, as well as giving more flexibility, but as for the size discrepancy I was totally unaware! This is a massive help.
I think you are right that for the best results you have to resort to a mix and match method.
