ODST Medic

the covies do however understand, ok they are protecting him so lets kill him first am i right?

I think you don't understand what that symbol is supposed to do. Letting the enemy know that he's a medic is the very idea, because they aren't supposed to shoot medical personell (talking about civilised enemies from Earth here, of course).

do you understand the covie though the kill humans without mercy so i dont think a medic will make a difference if they kill children freely

I understand the criticism regarding the Medic markings and life expectancy in combat.

However, aren't the Covenant guilty of telegraphing the most important/high ranking members of their fire teams?

I'm looking at you elites - brutes

Kill the high ranking covy and the grunts tend to take off in panic.

Spartans are the same deal.

Realistically the medics would be integrated with an ODST squad and wouldn't stand out, yes. That's also why officers don't wear brass rank in the field. But almost all designs in Halo are meant to be larger than life and lean towards whats cool looking rather than whats practical.

I still think this is a cool project, and having a stand out medic would be a very cool asset in a squad photo shoot. I hope to see this finished!

This is awesome. I'm glad we're getting medics around here.

In regards to the covenant killing medics, that seems very likely. Since they're not restricted by certain files if war such as the Geneva conventions. In terms of armour aesthetics, I'd put a large first aid sign on my shoulder or chest.

As far as killing medics... yeah probably... I mean look at the "The Patriot"... shoot the officers first! So yeah....your probably right....

But what if the color scheme....with some white etc (not uncommon as a armor color) and all markings on the BACK... back of helmet, back of backpack... from the front you look like any other ODST.... I know it's a longshot and not a complete save all... but just a thought....

Corpsman! Medic!

Is that an ODST Medic?

lol, of course it is, a bit heavy on the medic colors, are we?

I'm not sure, but I would make the medic coloring a bit more......subtle.

BTW, how did you manage to make that cujo?

id just like to say, this sounds really good :)
now, for everyone wondering how you would carry everything, i suggest going here:
http://www.405th.com/showthread.php/30606-Sean-Bradley-s-ODST-Backpack-Build?highlight=odst+backpack
you could ask someone to model a pepakura file or make one yourself, there is surely enough pics there to do it!
everything would go inside the backpack and come out when needed, it would be one thing to have an odst, then better to make a medic, then to make a backpack, people would be amazed, but then if you were to hollow it out and insert med kits inside, that would knock people off there feet.

Its a spartan, because vanity dosent have an ODST thing. And yeah, its a little much, I went on ODST and used a white primary color (chestplate) and the red cross emblem on the chestplate, and just that is good, maybe one on the backpack too.

Yes... it is Vanity... using white (primary) and brick (secondary)

It doesn't have the best ODST setup... but it definitely is a start...

I like the idea of medic logo on chest and back of backpack.... I think the helmet should have some kinda marking as well... that is why I added the Red cross to the chin... but perhaps somewhere else....

I used the UA shoulders to give a lil larger protection instead of the standard ODST shoulders.... I did my own custom datapad...

Just Vanity and a lot of photoshop.....

:p

Should medics have a lot of protection? I thought they would be light armoured.

DN...

Valid point.... I was thinking from the "We kill the medic/Officers first" side of the brain.... but I can see where lite and efficient also makes valid sense.... Vanity doesn't allow you to make much of a stripped down version....

True. I was going to make my medic heavy armoured (I mean really heavy), but someone said they should be light armoured, and I guess that seems valid because they'll be going everywhere to assist people. Hopefully some Spartans and marines will defend him. :p
