Went to my first paintball match today. It was TOTALLY AWESOME! Anyone that hasn't gone i seriously recommend doing so. Had 8 players. Had it out in like a padock with tire stacks and on a hill with trees and rocks. Best day ever! Anyone else played b4?

I've played Airsoft. You need protective covering though. Not just jackets. Combat gear.

I found this out the hard way, got shot in the face twice. Once in the forehead, once on the neck. ;)

My first time, I played in a really cool fort. Weapons:
Mine:
> P990 (I think) UK ARMS Pistol

Everyone Else (we traded off for fairness):
> Semi-auto AK-47 with broken off barrel
> Shotty without the speed-loader included
> SMG with no juice
> Small pistol (kindof like a Sig Sauer)

Ive played woodsball and speedball. My favorite was woodsball because it doesnt waste as much paint and the teams can be larger w/ out getting out of hand

My friends and I go out on occasion, usually once or twice a month. Great game, I highly recommend it. Better than sitting around all day on the computer I say. I've only ever played hardcore speedball once, and its not for me. I prefer woodsball, less paint waisted and more brainpower used lol. The downside is that its crazy expensive.

wait till you play on a team in a speed bal tourney....no more nice people ill tell you that. Thinking about getting a gun? talk to me about them ive played for 4 yrs now.

'been playing paintball since I was 10 (5 years of exp.)

its been fun.

speedball is my favourite.

Anyone here have questions about
buying a gun?
I am your ultimate critic!

Been playing for like 3 years and try to get out as much as i can (when i have money)

I like speedball, hyperball and a new one for me is x-ball (when i have money)

But i have to say psp is making paintball a lot cheaper to play when they changed the rate of fire

wow i love paintball, i get out as much as i can. Those of you that do play, what do you guys shoot? PMR for me.
Oh and those of you who havn't been there, check out www.pbnation.com Its a great place. I'm on there more than here.

I love playing scenario ball and speedball.

I remember my first time going, playing speedball in a regular arena with 40 a side.

Right after the city's travel speedball tryouts were done.

Tippman has to be the best recreational gun. Especially for woods balling. I absolutely love the Invert Mini Gun 2 though.

paintball is fun... airsoft is better!

i usually switch off playing airsoft and paintball every two weeks...

i have a tippmann a-5 with a palmers custom brass barrel and a response trigger...

and a classic army xm177 e2 airsoft rifle

I have a lathe modified BE Raptor with extended and ported barrel and modified spyder inners. (paintball)
Also a SW 1911 300fps airsoft pistol

I have to say nothing is better than alil paint from a red or orange paintball kill. Airsoft is great for when you can't get out to the the paintball tourneys though.

I've played for about three years. I first got a Tippmann 98 and bought a flatline. A word of advice to people who are just getting into paintball, take your gun in your/someone's backyard and get to know your gun, WELL. I didn't do anything with my flatline until I was in the middle of a game and the paintball would fly level till about 30 feet then dip about a foot for 5 feet and then fly up at about a 30 degree angle. I was trying to shoot a guy in a creek bed and the ball was either 10 feet in front of him or 100 feet behind him. I upgraded to the X7 a while ago and you won't believe how much more accurate it is with the barrel it came with, and it only got better with a flatline. I now have the X7 with the air-thru stock, flatline, and a combat grip, it's in a completely different league than the walmart guns. ...in my opinion.

just a word of advice, if you still have your 98: the reason for the ball "flying up" is because your shooting too hot. Back your gun down to around 260-270. The trick is to basically "tune" your gun untill you hit a sweet spot where there's minimal drop and maximum range. Hope that helps.
