Hey Pooper, I was looking for help, and forgot all about you lol, (IDK how), anyway, we can talk through Pm about my secret project.

The helmet simply looks amazing! I honestly wouldn't have thought of something as simple as just gluing cardboard details on! Just one of those things that are so obvious the thought slips our mind I guess.

Keep up the great work! I can't wait to see this finished :)

Okay, update time... I'll summarize my weekend with four words. Bondo, Sand, Bondo, Sand. Then repeat. For the members here who are good with bondo (timecon for example), I have a strong appreciation for their skills and talent. It took me a long time to get my helmet just right using it. I have to tell myself this is really the first time I've worked with this stuff.

Here's the pics...

I've primered the helmet and sand it in these pics

Now I've applied bondo on the areas that need it

Added spot putty and sand

Okay! I've also repainted it with dark primer and the helmet looks good! Unfortunately the batteries in my camera died on me, so I'll have to post that later.

Thanks guys! :)

Those cardboard details look amazing! I can't understand why anyone would try to do those with bondo...

Looks like is all coming together nicely. You've got me excited to see what you can do with the rest of the armor now.

Man, you do some great work! Are you going to paint your new helmet with clean colors (ie, no battle damage) like your last helmet, or are you going to add in some damage? Personally, I prefer the clean look. Your first helmet (the one in your avatar) is one of my favorites here on the 405th. When it comes time to paint my ODST, I'm making it clean-looking.

Great work man, can't wait to see the rest!

Thanks! Yeah, cardboard helps out a lot. I'm no pro with bondo, so that's why I'm using it. Members like timecon can make wonderful details with bondo, while I'm good with paper and CB. I guess it's a preference thing.

But yeah, CB is definitely going to play a huge part on adding my details.

Thanks! And my old helmet does have battle damage details on it... it's just so hard to see due to the fact that the paint is light, in the sunlight when that pic was taken. But yeah, I'm going to have battle damage. And your armor build is one of my favorites here on the site! I'm really looking forward to seeing yours as well! :)

Wow it looks better than my helmet  But good thing I am re-doing the floating details :p

Wow, Thanks Soulless! I wouldn't say that it looks better than yours, but just as good! :D Everyone works differently and has a different unique style to how their armor looks... and your helmet looks good! :)

Wow, that helm is good to go if you're aiming for battle worn style armor. :D

Very nice job Pooper

P.S. What fiberglass did you use? (woven?, cloth? matt?) I 'm really hacing a Hard time keeping my fiberglassing clean...

Thanks for the comments guys!

@soulless: Your helmet doesn't suck... it's really great. :)

@centerside: I used fiberglass cloth... after seeing others using it, I find that it's the cleanest of the bunch.

Still don't have batteries for my camera to upload the pics. I'm getting off from work now so I should have some pics uploaded sometime soon. Don't worry, they're coming! :)
