So I am planning on making some odst armor. Approximately how much does it cost to make per piece, on average. I just want to budget a bit. Thanks.

totaly depends on the person and level of strength and detail.

it all depends on the materials you use and how good you are.

also you have to decide if it is gonna be molde or just pep. if molded it will be a LOT more money.

People could have given an average...

using 2 layers of fiberglass for the pieces. And depending on how well you folded in pepakura stage it will take 5-10 dollars of fiberglass for one piece.

Some pieces are small. Some are bigger. You wont be spending much more then 40USD for fiberglass in general.

(the number can change depending on how you work and how much resin you waste)

so far i've spent $30 on 500 sheets of 150gsm A4 cardstock, about $15 for a tin of bondo/filler/whatever and $35 on fibreglass resin and cloth

ok now i see it, but what i wanted was some averages from others who have/are making their armor.

You can't get an average of the cost. It completely depends on what route of construction you take, how much detail you put into it, and so many other variables.



Just to be safe I'll go ahead and say at least a few hundred dollars just on supplies, and not counting time spent, for the average costume made from pep. If you have plans to mold it, go into the thousands.
