And we have started painting the wetsanded parts
Some imperfections were left after the wet, but thats fine. Not going for absolutely pristine here.

Decent progress inbetween rain showers
Metallic and base color done on helmet and toe caps
Detailing pass done on the comms attachment
Weathering at a later point

This is coming along really well! How do you plan to weather the helmet with that sort of chrome coat under the paint?

Oh, just wondering if you were gonna try anything like subtractive weathering and somehow exposing the metallic layer under. Does having a metallic base coat help in some way for your prints?

Ah got it! There's masking fluid in some spots to simulate paint chipping and I'll add scratches and scuffs via bladed and sandpaper

Looking so damn good. Loving the purple. This might finally inspire me to finish my Reach Mk VI, one of the last things I have to do is that same little helmet attachment.

Still some scuffing and denting to do, along with the weathering washes but now to let everything cure for atleast 24 hours.

Belt pieces are printed. Just the chest left.



Undersuit abdomen halves need external welding but decent progress

Some slight alignment issues between some of the individual parts that make up the halves but that will be corrected during the welding and sanding process
