Hey 405th, just thought I might as well post my recon project that I finished at the end of summer. I never really got around to posting pics, so I thought I might as well now. And excuse the bad quality, its the photo off my computer.

The helmet in it's bare pepakura form.

Well that's it 405th. Hope you like it. Working on the AR. Will get that up soon.

Thanks guys! I don't think I'll be molding this guy, but for my first helmet, turned out pretty good.

Effin' awesome man! keep up the good work. Are you going to build an entire suit?

perfect realy nice and smooth and im sorry to say this but ......YOU CAN HAZ RECONZZZ
You know it was pretty funny, if any of you on the east coast know of otakon, I wore this with a suit there, and had a little piece of paper with fancy lettering on it saying "I can haz recon?" speaking of which, might as well post the pics here. This is me and my brothers about to leave for otakon.

And here's a close up of me in the suit.

If any of you haven't been to otakon and you live near baltimore, I would advise going if you're into anime. I had a great time.

Very nicely done helm. Detail work is well done also. Only thing I noticed is that your visor sits back in the hole. Other than that a thumbs up. Nice suit btw. =P

Ya, well if anyone knows the smooth version of this helmet, the visor part receeds into the helmet. I decided to pep this, and couldn't really find a better way to keep it in there, so it's honestly just jammed in there and held by friction.

Nice, how long did it take you to go from pep to finish?
Ya know, I honestly don't know. All I know is that it pretty much took my half of summer. So you could say a month I guess. Although working on it wasn't non-stop, I'm happy with what I got out of it. Sadly though, my friends cat knocked it off the bar when I brought it over to his house, so it's in the repair shop, but we'll fix it once we get the chance.

Man, awesome job! I thought about doing this helm, but decided to go with the Scout instead... loving the colour scheme!
