Hey all. Shag here. Figured I might as well post a new thread about my personal longterm project. I would like to create my own suit of armour which can be identified only to me. So here are the plans.

Helm: Commando (Same as Carter)
Torso: Can't decide which add-on yet. TBA
Pauldrons: Probably GUNGNIR
Knee Pads: GUNGNIR

Have yet to decide on a weapon; however, I do have a Hammer Project on the backburner. Heheh

Last night I went through the painstaking process of cutting all the printed off pepp files out. Should have assembly rolling out later this evening after school is out. Until next post Spartan 420 out.

Thank you rundown!
Pics of the helm so far:

Hopefully more work done later tonight. Keep you posted 405th.

looks good so far!
I'm looking forward to see your progress!

if I may add an advice (to late already but for others who migh read this): when I tried to pep the first time I did the same you did: cutting everything out of the sheets and afterwards searching and searching and searching ;) what I found out is, that it is much easier to find the peaces if you leave the not-at-the-moment-used parts alone and just cut what you need at the very moment. also page-numbering is a good way so you just can compare the pep-viewer pages / parts with what you got so it is easier to find the next parts.

As am I S42 and thanks.

I also made that same mistake when I made the Recon helmet. This time around I precut the pieces with an xacto knife and left them attached to the pages just enough to where they wouldn't fall off. I must say it makes the pieces much easier to find and they pop right out of the page when you are ready for them! Only took a few hours of very precise cutting.

When I cut mine out I put the page number on the back so that I know where it came from while putting together. I also have pepakura up on laptop so the numbers on the back mean something! Hope that helps some :)

Well. More work accomplished. Decided to postpone the hardening process for a while. Weather has taken a turn for the cold (about time mother nature)
Finished pepping the helm:

Also began working on the chestpiece. Sculpting with cardboard is fun :)

I like the layered cardboard you used to make the torso. It's a nice alternative to having to pep and the strengthen one with a bunch of supports like I had to. The helm looks good too. Can't wait to see how your build comes out. Keep up the good work.

looking good, though it has to be said I have seen an aweful lot of commando helms, but it is epic so i guess its ok lol, im liking the cardboard chest peice got to much easyer to work with in the solidifying stages than paper.

for the attachment, I would go with either odst (for its easiness) or grenader (for its easiness if its custom built and its bad@$$ness)

Thanks all!

@ brogeta: I noticed that commando helms are everywhere. Guess I'm part of THAT crowd now. haha.

@AI Blue Fox: Thanks for the suggestions, but with this weeks update to the game I need to reevaluate my thoughts on the chest attachment

good work with the cardboard and your chest. I'm looking forward to the result, maybe I'll go the same way later on :)
but first I hope you wouldn't mind sharing your experience with it?
