Sorry for double post but today I got my package :D It consists of two HJC Gold mirrored visors. Right now I'm just masking off the areas I'll be cutting and then seeing how it is proportional to the helmet. I should be able to cut it tomorrow, if not then most likely Wednesday. Then I'll do some wiring in side the helmet for my LED's and possible a fan.

Just got back from vacation and I missed all this! Soulless, the new helmet looks AWESOME! :) I'm really impressed. I also like how your torso is coming out.

Take your time of the visor, and it's good to have that template to mask the areas to show where you need to cut. Try not to rush... I did it, so I know you can do it too.

I've got some catching up to do. I'm waaaaay behind on updates in my thread.

@Chip475

Thanks :D All I got done was the top half of the visor cut. But tonight, It'll be done.

@Pooper

Lol so that's where you were. I was wondering why you were never on and never updates. You do have a lot of catching up to do!

Thanks Shade :D

Another update! I cut out the second part and to me, It seems to unreal for it to look like that. I mean It looks too real. (If that makes sense) It's like I'm staring into a Spartan. Well I still need to paint it and then solder my LED's hopefully I'll do that soon and I somehow managed to lose a new roll of masking tape too. Well here's the pic. I know I still need to clean up the sides but damn it's pretty awesome.

Hot damn! Looking good! :) Yes, the dual visor really makes the helmets look so much better.

Are you managing to push the visors all the way up to the front of the helmet?
I could, but when I glued it in, it forced itself back, and I had a gap between the visor and the front mouth piece. I fixed it by filling in the gap with bondo and smoothing it out (need to update in my thread). I hope that you can fit it in better than I did.

Well, keep up the good work bud!

@Pooper

I might end up drilling a couple holes in the visor and place brackets on my helm and then screw it in to keep it together.

Well long story short for why I was gone for a while. I had finals for High School and now I'm a senior :D and I took a break from the armor progress also. But now I am BACK! Today I spent about a good 2.5 hours of sanding my chest along with glassing some areas that seemed flismy for some reason. I also glassed more areas in both my shins, right bicep and right thigh. I think that I can have the chest painted and primed by the end of next if week if my operation for my wisdom teeth doesn't hinder my sanding abilities. So expect alot of updates from me before the start of school season.

They healed up nicely, I got a check up today. Though the pain did stop after 2 days but I sure loved the vicodin they provided :D

Thanks bob :D

Well I have some bad news... My chest has cracked in two places. Though It sounds bad but it really isn't. It is easily fixable though a pain since it puts me back a couple hours. I guess thats what happens when you put it on a high fence next a concrete floor to reach some sun to cure. Though I did manage to resin my forearms. They are FS Med def since I know i wouldn't have much time left to work with Nugget's HD Forearms. I'll see if i can fix the chest tonight so I can resume sanding tomorrow.

Sorry the phone pics are kinda bad but the cracks are huge enough to see

o man, those look like ugly cracks, did you use Gloss putty? if you do, remember to wait a few minutes for it to dry or you'll pay for it :(

@Project003

I didn't know gloss putty even existed. But I do plan on using spot putty and I just put on a couple layers of FB and lots of resin. Now I hope I don't make the same mistake twice ):

EDIT:

A little spot putty here and there worked like a charm :D

EDIT 2:

I sanded my chest again but I still have to put a lil more spot putty to even out the crack area. Though I did resin more of the forearms and I finally finished one of the foot/boot pieces of the Mk VI. Right now I'm kinda lazy to finish the other one though I should have it done by tonight.

Sorry to double post but I gotta keep this thread alive. I glassed my forearms and I'll probably finish the rest of it tomorrow. But today I finally got a new mouse sander. It's so much better than the old *bad word* I use to have.

EDIT:

Forearms are fully glassed and awaiting Rondo and then I started to rondo my shins.
