Hello everyone and welcome to the start of my journey. What journey you ask?
The journey of making my first ever Spartan Suit out of EVA Foam.
Not my first foam project so i have quite a bit of experience working with foam.

Just got done with adjusting the individual armor pieces to my size and build using Armorsmith.
Going to be building:

-Scout Helmet
-Scout Shoulders
-Mk VI Torso (MP version)
-Mk VI Gauntlets (MP version)
-Mk VI Thighs (MP version)
-Mk VI Shinguards (MP version)
-Mk VI Boots (MP version)

-Mk VI Codpiece
(Paint pattern still up for debate)

I will also be writing my own Spartan backstory etc.

And heres a little sneakpeak from Armorsmith. Codpiece will be freehanded

Looking forward to seeing what you build SilentHunter 14! If you need any help, you know where to find us ;-)

Write your own backstory, you say? That case I'm just gonna leave this right here...

I love reading different backstories. Make it a good one!

I really will try my best but that will come when everything is done!

Hey everyone! Here's a little update.. made the helmet templates from the pepakura model of the Halo4/5 Scout helmet using Armorsmith, which I use for all my templates to size everything to my exact measurements. Cut out the templates, transferred to foam, and now will start cutting them out. I am really scared that the helmet pieces don't fit together properly. Wish me luck!

Luck is the last dying wish of those who want to believe that winning can happen by accident.

But good luck anyway!

Alright peoples! Finished the bottom half of the helmet.

It still is slightly asymmetrical
Which I think should be able to be gives with a bit of heat and bending. But I'd appreciate some tips. Also encountered some seams starting to come apart so I will reinforce the helmet from the inside.

Added a rim to the bottom half so now I can join the two halves...

This may be the wrong place to ask this, but how do you use armorsmith? Do you just plug in your measurements?

No it's fine. Well you type in your measurements,it creates an avatar and then begins the lengthy process of changing the scale and rotation and position of the armor piece(s) ontop of the avatar, which I have become fairly good at to the point that I actually offer to do it for people for a small fee.

How small? And what do you need to get started?

Armorsmith is pretty intuative, it shows you on the model wher to measure from where to where, or where on your body to measure circumference and generates the model based on that.

That looks soooo clean and symmetrical! You are nailing this! Just do be careful when attatching the two halves, we dont want it to warp...

Done assembling the Scout Helmet for my Spartan Build! will be adding details to the outside tomorrow and will try to straighten it out a little more since it warped a bit while assembling... The warping is very minor but visible. So if anyone has some tips how to fix it that would be appreciated..

Dude, this is a killer job!!!
In order to fix the warping you can take a heatgun and try and reshape it, but you may need to cut along the glued edge and add or remove material if it is that bad

Thanks man! I will try it with heat and if it doesn't fix it I'll see if areas need material taken away... I think the warping is caused by just slight differences between the sanded angels between top and bottom
