Now that's craft foam that you use to line the edges (and make them looker cleaner), right?
>What thickness is it?

Yes and no. It is craft foam - 5mm - the stuff that i am using for the under suit, but the craft foam i used around the edges is 2mm. You can get 3 thicknesses of craft foam that i have found, and it all comes from hobby lobby.

Here is another update on the Yellow Suit/ Recon.

I decided to, instead of recon shoulders, make the air assault shoulders. They are about the same size, but i really dident like the thought of having a big circle on my arm lol. The air assault is my fave so far in the game so i gave it a shot!

Here is a quick pic of what they look like now.

hey im a bit of a foam building noob, but i recently did two helmets out of foam and when going to seal it the results were... well not as good as i had hoped :p what do you do to seal your foam? i just painted on layers of pva glue but it seems to be time consuming and leave visible streaking :( also plasti dip and I dont mix

Hey there!

I'm banging my head into a wall for the Wetwork helm in my other thread. Any info you are employing for yours would be wonderful. Either in this thread or mine. Thanks, and again, keep up the magnificent work!!

Here is a nice shot of the Forearms! The shoulders and gauntlets need plasidip and paint, then im off making the butt plate!;) The next step after that is the webbing and paint on the torso!

This builld is moving right along!

Thanks for the comments and encouragement!

You guys are the best!

Holy crap. Dat detail. Amazing job, cant wait to see more!

Looks very nice!!! I love your foam work!

I'm floored at just how amazing your skills are with scratch building. Not even pep templates can match your work

Wow thank you guys so much for all the complements!

Looks great haha I just saw the wrists on facebook like 5 minutes ago lol

Man I tend to post up pics there first!.... except for today!

Here is another quick update!

Alright guys! I should have pics up in the next few days of the completed forearms and shoulders - minus mesh. I still have to mesh and paint the remaining part of the torso, but i will probably Finnish all of the foam first and try to tackle all of it at once. Tomorrow i will try and finnish the paint on the thighs, and i will start eather on the boot, calf, or handplate!

then all i will be needing is a helmet!

OH! Also, im not positive that i like the contoured boots, so i might be eather making it randomly, or i will steal another boot set from another set of legs.

Thanks for following!

Keep those comments coming!

Brad

I'm going to do the same legs. Ty for putting your process up. Btw I don't like the shoes either. I'm going with warrior's boots.

Lol i love the dog in the leg armor. Legs turned out great i think :)
I have a lot of practice to do lol

this entire thread is so full of win. I get so excited when I see that this has new posts in my sub box! Can't wait for more

Finally got the pepping on the wetwork done. Strep throat took me out for a little while.
Time to catch up with Brad on progress.
