Hey man, thats looking awsome. I have a question though.
Were you planning to put resin on this? or just paint it and seal it off.
because i started to make one a while ago and its part pep, part wood, and i was wandering whether
resening it all was a good idea or not.

I'm not entirely sure what I'm going to do yet to tell the truth. I thought about maybe making a cast of it and painting that, and leaving this one as is, but I have never messed with that, so not sure how. If I do paint this one, I will just seal it and paint it. I have never used resin on wood, but I don't really think it would be necessary. Honestly I don't know if wood would react one way or another to resin. I may have to experiment some.

I am using resin to coat the undervisor details on my MK6 helm, the details are made from poplar. Works good just make sure its well sanded or you will be there forever sanding the thing. I think your knife looks great, Wonderful job with your lines and detail. Im a lefty as well so i know how you feel lol. Will be looking for more pics

Don't know. Finishing Target Locater and just finished the Grenade Launcher.

Alright, time for an update. Not much was done really, but I sanded/filed a lot of it and added in some of the details, mainly on the handle, fuller, and scabbard. I don't know how well they will show up, but I am hoping to get a better camera soon. Anyway, here it is.

The fuller, seen here, still needs some work. Need to straighten up the edges, I did use a file after all lol.

I could, I suppose. Problem is, I've never made casts and I don't have the things to do it lol. If enough people request it, then I suppose I would cast a few...maybe.

It's my first Warhammer build and I think I will definitely make it in wood too, I don't like the way the foam one is turning out. You can see a couple of pictures of that one on my helmet build, if you want to.

I've been sketching up some designs for some internal mechanics for a chainsword. I want to have one that works.

I have that started but, haven't built the whole thing. Built the wood chain and figured out the mechanics. Just got busy on other things.

I understand that, lol. I would have a ton of these things done if I could just keep from getting busy on other things.

I like working with the polystyrene, but I like wood much better. I'm still going to give the EVA foam a try for some armor, we'll see how that turns out. I should have some more pictures up soon, and I think I will order some silicone soon to start the casting process with this knife. I've got some crazy painting ideas floating around in my head and I don't want to experiment on my master lol.

Alright, time for an update. I made a final push to get this done last night, but didn't lol. Anyway, it's about 98% complete now, all I have left is just final sanding and detailing. I had a lot of fun building this, and I hope you guys like it. Once again, sorry for the bad image quality. I will get a good camera soon and put up some good pictures when it's 100% complete. Anyway, here it is, hope you like it.
