not much to update I made dancing fools neck piece and I unfolded the med thighs that carnage put out on his thread and I'll be sending that unfold to him to upload to his thread.

edit: nevermind looks like mr. oreo already took care of it.

the unfold is layed out at 53.2 which seems to be a good hieght for 6 foot

it works really well if you use cardboard to reinforce it.

Hahaha.. I see you also make use of priority mail boxes for build ups! Much better than standard cardboard since it bends much smoother and without currogation lines.

Ok I'm frustrated I've spend the last 2 days building pep mostly the new files from carnages thread and there is a problem. after putting the thighs together the height was perfect but they are way to skinning, you have to have chicken legs,I also completed the cod which didn't come close to fitting me a 34 waist, however not all was lost I was able to use it in my female version suit with adding 4 in around the waist.

so I put all the files together from head to toe minus the arms to find what might be a good height to correct this, turns out I was already at the correct height of 6 foot, so to compensate for the skinny thighs I made the suit height at 6'2 and build the ab plate which is still way too small, I believe this version of the suit is probably going to need some major altering to fit a normal human, unlike the first pep version I made on the first page of this thread that was put out by ben Streeper which fits just fine. If anyone else has had some trouble feel free to post your results. I'm not discouraging anyone from using the one in carnages thread in fact I'd say the pep looks amazing and I love the look of it and i'd like to thank him and everyone else for posting it and working so hard on it! It's just finding the right size seems to be very difficult at this time, but I'll keep updating this thread as I overcome these issues.

as one of the first to actually use the files I had similar flaws with the abplate and cod. Everything cant be measured to one scale.

You'll have to scale every piece seperately but in the end they might not merge in unison like the Torso and the Abplate. The torso might fit a certain scale but the abplate at the same scale wont fit. So when you make the abs bigger you'll have trouble making the spine on the back of abs fit in the slot on the back of the torso.

even though you set a height, everyone has different lengths of arms and legs and diameter, skinny or muscular

The suit is set to a certain proportion by default. You can get away with this with master Chief but not Iron Man.

that's why the iron man build is so hard to do in pep, some pieces will have to be customized after they are pepped using ingenuity.

just askin, do you print, cut and paste the pepfiles onto thin cardboard? cause i see a "priority flat rate" box on the inside of the thigh

there isnt much of a difference from the inside all I do it paste the piece onto the cardboard and cut it out leaving behind the tabs as they are not needed when doing it this way which save a ton of time on cutting out. I got something in the mail yesterday I'd say I should have enough to make all the casted parts for my ironman now.
