Hi there,

This is my suit at the moment I love it but wanting to make it more tactical and worn looking with bags, a side arm, radio and some grenades possibly
IMG_6692.jpeg

I will be upgrading my MKV B suite, this is roughly what I’m going for, but more stuff.

Halo Infinite-2026_01_12-22_36_29.png

Helmet.
I am going to be getting the paladin helmet modelled as I really love the look of it, but I might also get the top parts made to fit the RIZ helmet as I do love that helmet and then I would have a completely custom helmet.

LMG
I am also going to be getting a custom LMG modelled which am very excited for I used The Halo: Reach concept LMG M73 Light Machine Gun, as a base for this new LMG

IMG_3165.png

I’m wanting it to look like the commando rifle/LMG I already have but bigger, it also have a chain fed from the box mag on the other side, which I am wanting to keep that look.

Accessory’s

The things I’m wanting to add/upgrade is mainly these things, I really like this look with the bag and the radio and some grenades next to it.
IMG_3236.jpeg

I like this look, I don’t want to add too much to the chest l but I am wanting to add some glow sticks hanging off that would look good.

Is the knife all one part with the sheath? Or does the knife pull out?
If it pulls out there's 2 considerations
  1. You don't need some smart alec at a convention seeing if they can snag it from you without you knowing. Some kind of secret retention clip goes a long way here.
  2. Check the weapons rules at any convention you go to. If you can pull it, and they think you could stab someone with it even if its printed plastic they might say 'no. put it back in your car' if there's no way to "peace bond" it. (where they put a zip tie in a way to keep you from pulling it)
Might be handy if the entire thing can be easily swapped out. If the con doesn't like that you can pull it, go back down to the car in the parking and swap the 2-part version for a single-piece "looks good in photos, but doesn't pull out" version. Or one with a foam blade for the conventions

Personally, I keep mine up front to avoid the whole "I can't see or control it" thing.

Right okay, yeah .

The cons I go I think I bring it with me, but I will obviously check beforehand .

It was going to be a tight fit to pull out, the plan is to have some bags above the belt and below the back piece, with some grenades and things attached to the outside for some detail to help blend it together, and so I have some more storage, so I might end up changing the position of where it is.

I know it'll be the same for the things on the outside of the bad, making sure they are secure and nobody can grab it easily.

Thanks for the insight

Something just hit me when looking at that knife for a second time...
You're not sitting in any chair with a back. Not sitting in the convention dining stacking chairs... not getting to lean back and rest in the comfy chairs in the lobby. You're upright and stiff the entire day. That gets tiring - and might eliminate some cool photo ops.

I mean, yeah.

But I don't see how the knife on the belt will affect me in term of sitting down, it's more the thighs that limit me.
I understand not being able to sit back, but I go to 1 convention a year, so I'm more forced on it looking cool for getting videos, pictures rather than going FULL con-comfy, I still want to be able to sit down obviously, but If I have these bags on my lower back, that should be able to help me sit back and rest a bit more easily.

> I don't see how the knife on the belt will affect me in term of sitting down,

In a chair with a back. You won't be able to sit back with a big horizontal prop across your lower back. Try it. Take a 1 foot ruler and put it in your belt loops at the back. Now sit back in a chair.

> but If I have these bags on my lower back
Clearly I missed something. "Bags?"

Right I will have to give that a go, thank you.

Talking about it now, I don't think I will have the knife there as the bags Im wanting to do will probably hide it anyways. and yes I didnt say in the first post, but I think I mentioned it in one of my replies, but I'm wanting some bags on my back with some accessory's and things on it to keep it halo looking and nice and tactical.

I saw a ODST cosplay I think with some bags on their lower back similar to this, but I can't find the picture, but something like this one, but I dont think as big.

But this is why I'm wasn't too fussed about it being easy to sit back as I will be resting against this, but I'm going to have this attach to the harness Im wanting to make, so from the top of the back and then around the front, so It can be detachable if needed.

So another small update but........ I do have a design to go off from now,
I Was using what I made in halo infinite before, but I was wanting to do more with it and add things from different cores.

Massive thanks to Jeffw773 for the tutorial on how to make this and the amazing resources that are available I am so happy I found it and was able to plan out how I'm wanting my spartan to look like, I am really happy with this look,I think its unique and it fits the look/theme I am going for, and I think it really suits me.

Also the back bag I keep going on about, there is an actual name for it the '' marksman rear pack '' and it is a good reference for what I am wanting to do. Marksman rear pack | 3D Print Model
I'm going to use an actual bag not a 3d printed one, but it is a good reference, and I will probably attach it the same with it hanging off the back and then something that will attach around my stomach, or I might have it attach to the straps that will go to my thigh pieces that way it keeps it from not floating backwards.

Let me know what you think about the armour design.

The ammo on the right thigh I think I will replace with the knife. The grenades on the thighs will be the same model that comes with the three pack, I like the design and they unscrew so it's a little bit of extra storage I can keep my keychains in when I'm at a convention. the radio of the other thigh I will use the larger one shown below I am working on, I have got it all sanded down, I still need to paint it.

I don't know what the boxes on the chest are. They look screwed closed and not like pouches. Kinda look like project boxes or electric junction boxes. Frankly my first thought was : As a statue it would make a fun bedside clock.
With all that bulk, can you reach your own shoulder grenades? Gonna suck if you can't pull them when posing for photos.

Have you considered a real walkie? Looks better and if you give the other one to your handler at the convention you can reach each other.
Look around and you can find decent ones for less than $100 a pair with plenty of accessories. Even new they're less than a hundred each bundled with extras.

I love the look of your spartan!!

The bulk and colour combos go really well together.

If you want a bit of peace of mind, making that pack at the back out of something more robust than a 3D print may save you trouble down the line. Printed object on people's backs have a tendency to be the first things to break at a con, but your plan will work if you decide not to.

As saint said the bulkiness of those boxes may limit your movement a bit, but as long as you know that and you're willing to trade mobility for looks then it looks great as it is.

Love the renders.

I don't know what the boxes on the chest are.
I don't really know either

This is the description of it on the halo wiki

The NERA-SOFAS chest plate is a non-energetic reactive armor and presumably comes in two forms: a variant manufactured by the UNSC and a variant recreated by the crew of the UNSC Spirit of Fire while on Installation 00.[Note 1] The variant made by the Spirit of Fire's AI Isabel features a mix of old and new ERA technologies.[50]

They are a solid and not a pouch, yes.
I was planning on maybe having the front flip down so I have some storage, but I don't think that will work ad it doesn't sit that mush forward from the chest there isn't actually that much more room.
Untitled-31 (2).png

can you reach your own shoulder grenades?
No I cannot reach them with my armour as it is now, so It will be okay with the new chest addition, I know it will be more bulky, but that's the type of armour that I like and are wanting to go for,

Like I said it doesn't sit that far forwards, but I Know It will affect my arm movement as it is wider than the normal chest.

Untitled-31 (3).png

When holding my gun, my arms are below the chest armour, but I have realised now that I won't be able to have the gun stock up to my shoulder and I will have to hold it from my hip only, but I'm fine with that sacrifice.
Have you considered a real walkie?

No , not really. I can always add it in at a later date, but for now I'm just going to stick with the prop one.

Thank you,

Yeah I really like a bulky look, I know it will affect my arm movement but I am fine with that sacrifice for the look, I can always make a second chest that doesn't have this, as I'm going to permanent attach this to the new chest.
