2 Kat Suits in 1 Year- Nogood (PIC HEAVY)

January Continued.......

These are all the pep/files I used to build my waist belt for the Kat Suit... Simple!

10 pieces total! --Simply flip them over to get the other side... The next picture shows you I simply flipped them over...

Now Remember foam can get really messy... pieces everywhere!! I work in a super small space so heres some helpful hints... when you make a mess...

I use a cork board to hang my files up- I found this small hole punch and it works perfect! Now I can hang my pepakura files up!
(I used to put them in sandwiches bags, but its a mess getting them out.) -so this idea is better than that =P

This helps me not make 100 holes in my files... lol

Another helpful hint........ Use different color thumb tacks so you remember what is what. I use 2 yellow thumb takes to hold my waist belt pieces.. etc.

Here is acouple pictures of my second belt in the making...

Not much to it really... just cut 45 degree angles and hot glue together ! =P
I will now continue to the shoulders!..

Kat Shoulder Piece.. I forgot a piece... so my first set is missing it, but these are all the files I used in my first picture for my first set..

Cut the foam pieces out... and..

Next you need to fold it alittle.. using my V shape method I put 2 in the very middle piece

WOW LOOK ITS DONE!!! --I forgot to take pictures I guess.. lol

Ok I made 2 like that....... NOW THIS IS THE PIECE I FORGOT!

So I went ahead and played around..

I just cut out 3 because I thought one would mess up...lol
Gladly it didn't! It looks alot better than the first set... to me..

Compared to the first...

Next was the layering of the foam...

I had to move it alittle because the piece was connected on the "FOAM build"... pepakura files are alittle different...

So I traced it out.... then cut it out in one piece..

Remember make it your own... its always fun to add alittle more detail!

AND REMEMBER glue it as you go... stretch and hold the foam into place.. DONT GLUE ALL AT ONCE!

All done... I love the one in the bottom right, the craft foam/thinner foam looks alot better in one piece. It also has more of the Kat look. Anyways they look fine to me and I'm sure my wife and friend won't even notice =P
