Thought I'd put up a couple quick progress pics...just to let you know I am actually doing something :D

At least I've nearly done the back - super fiddly IMO:

And the belly/sternum plate (I dunno what it's called lol):

Finally finished 99% of the chest piece, just have to finish a couple small detail parts that I messed up and have to re-print, put in the rest of the supports and it's good to go.

I'll get that finished today and hopefully resin the helmet and maybe the chest piece if I have enough.

Thanks for looking in

Got two coats of resin on the helmet and the first of two coats of rondo on the inside. Ill do the other coat of rondo tomorrow.
I was going to pep all the parts, then resin and rondo them all, but I've decided instead to concentrate on one piece at a time and move on when I've pretty much finished the previous piece - I find it too much of a drag to be pepping night after night and with no time limit I figure its the better plan.
So expect a bit of a lull in activity here until I have something worth adding to post.
I did pick up a few things today though - visor, batteries and clips, fan, hot glue gun and sticks, soldering wire, paintball gloves, a new mask and filters, helmet lights, more resin, more P38 (bondo), paintbrushes, mixing sticks and pots, gloves (for resining etc) and a set of helmet lining pads..so I'm all set to get on with it...until I realise what I've forgotten :p

helmet is looking pretty nice and sharp so far and congrats on finishing the chest pep, that thing is a pain in the backside :p

That looks awesome!! good thinking with spraying it to make it easier to see what needs to be fixed. I will be doing that as well haha.

All the different colours and surfaces, pep lines and materials over time have made the helmet a collage of contrast, so giving it one base colour makes it easier to focus on what I'm doing.

Yep, I had to do the chest twice too which made it a real drag - glad to see the end of that piece for sure. I been looking at your Freelancer build, real nice work there, attention to detail is brilliant mate ;)

Got both sets of lights working (for the first time).
Got the floating faces fitted, smoothed and detailed.
Got some battle damage.....damaged :p

Still a long way from finished, but definitely getting closer.

You're making great progress on your helmet! I look forward to more on this for sure. :D

For a n00b you sure don't weather like one! Great job on the helmet. It's the little details like that which define a costume. Great job, I'm looking forward to watching this one.

Got the visor fittings figured out

Made leather sections for the rear of the helmet (didn't like it painted)

Loosely tacked on to take a pic

Decided to cut the whole pepped sections out of the helmet and fit the breather pipes through from inside, pics don't really do it justice but looks great in RL

Pepped the hand plates (the pic makes them look really warped, but they're not - guess it's just the light)

And started the left forearm

And half my body armor arrived today too

Just waiting for paint - then I can fit the padding, electrics and visor and the helmets finished..I can paint the hand plates, they'll be finished too (once I get the velcro attachments on the backs) then after the New Year I can move on to the chest piece.

Whoa! I like the leather that you did with the back of the helmet! Very nice. I can't wait to get to that stage, looks great man! I see you're working on the forearms, and came down to the wrist, so did I! haha, its kinda tricky, but i just went slow and replaced parts as I went.
