I didnt see, now was I interested in seeing the first one, so I definately wont be going. Whenever people make a huge deal over things, I hate them. That's why I didnt play halo for the 9 years that it was out; BECAUSE PEOPLE THREW SUCH A HUGE FIT OVER IT!!!!

Im not really complaining that its a retell of a story. But given the fact that he had a long time to do what ever he wanted with it. I really like the creativeness of it though. You know, the whole braid thing and how Pantera looked was beautiful. But thats all I got to say about it. I just want someone to explain to me why people go ape-sh*t when someone mentions Avatar.

YAY ive seen AVATAR 7 times in the theater[ not kidding].

And they said I was crazy for my 5 viewings, twice at the imax.

Also from the rumor mill, avatar will see a second theater release this fall. AVATAR Directors Cut 3D !!

I get tired of people who claim that it was too predictable or didn't have an original storyline. In all honesty, what movie or book does these days? I once had an English professor that said you could break down any piece of fiction into one of two stories: Star Wars (ep iv), or Jane Eyre. And if you look at the basic plots/characters of both, its all very surprising.

what you say is true, but the second you start to except it, it becomes a problem... if everyone had this opinion and didnt at least try to write a unique/different story, the film industry would be going down hill at a lot faster rate then it is currently going... some movies just do a better job hiding the fact its the same story.

i finally saw Avatar for the first time today, and really felt like i wasted 2 hours and 40 minutes of my time... but i will likely see the second one, on DVD (whenever that may be)... i try and give every movie a chance.

but for everyone that enjoyed it i am happy for you, and hope you enjoy the second.

I've accepted it and I don't mind. I think that I just appreciate seeing how each director will retell the story with his/her own artistic viewpoint. I know thats extremely hard for some people to do, hence angry people complaining every time they se a recreation of a familiar story. Avatar's story has been told hundreds of times, and Cameron didn't make any effort o conceal it. I personally think he told it better than most, so I liked it.

Feel sorry for people who are just seeing it now. The DVD / bluray release is a waste of time. I love the movie so much, but walked out the theater knowing I never wanted to see it on my home tv.

It's not the best story, the acting is sometimes forced, the special effects you've seen before, the music draws heavily on titanic influences. Despite all that, the 3d technology made it the greatest movie of all time.

avatar 2 the quest for impossible toogetium

I wonder what the story is going to be about in this one and who the baddie is going to be.

I saw Kick-Ass just yesterday, and I loved it. It kinda had me at the edge of my seat. This movie really deserves a sequel. But after this movie I was thinking how I really didnt care for Avatar or its characters where in Kick-Ass, I did.

The baddie will probably be some little bugger you can't help but hate. I hated Mr. Unobtanium dude. He was annoying.

Okay...WTF? Who the hell wants to see the Cat/Human/Alien/Indian couple on the job? They were almost naked in the movie and I sure as hell don't want to see the alien dude's general and two colonels bouncing all over the screen in 3D.

James Cameron is a nasty man.
