Hopefully it keeps cool. If it does I might try something similar one day.
How did it work out?
It works great! I spent six hours in costume, it was no more hot than what I am used to in my stormtrooper. I think the inner liner will help with the longevity being that the aero mat is not coming into direct contact with my skin or sweat.
Awesome! I like the liner idea. I may re-make mine that way.
I've only used it on plasti-dip on metal and plastic, and it can rub off those. Does it rub off the fabric easily?
It's held up perfectly, no issues.
How did you make the hex pattern in the visor?
ah, I think it's the stony props hex visor, found here: https://www.etsy.com/listing/247993...ga_search_query=stony props&ref=sr_gallery_24
Thanks, will definitely be investing in them.
Thank you for sharing, this helps me with researching ideas for my own suit.
Now that looks awesome!
I looked at the file but am confused about printing to scale
I just printed it the way it is and the sizing was fine. You could do a test print, put the paper pieces together and see how they fit. If they are too small or too big just rescale using a photocopier (make two sets when you first print it).
mine was about each piece was 2 inches tall.
Wow thats pretty neat thanks!
