Good day everyone. New guy here. I found your site while doing research for my motorcycle project and decided to show my build.

I am starting out with a 2008 KLR 650. For those of you who do not know the KLR is a great dual sport motorcycle and will look great with a halo theme.

And this is a pic after tearing the bike apart

I have seen pictures of the full size warthog and decided to use it as inspiration. So I decided to do a custom paint job to include adding some armor plate to the motorcycle plastics. Here is the first piece.

So far I have part of the armor plating completed and begun painting some of the odd parts a mix of dark green and leaf green for the highlights. I will then clear coat all the pieces in flat to protect the paint.

I would love to hear suggestions and tips. Let me know what you think.

LOL the HALO jump thing would be pretty cool. Here is the pic of the front cowling. I think I need to do a little more weathering and it should be done.

Oh and I am still toying around with ideas for weaponry. Any ideas out there. Mini gun side mounted? Hand grenades? A Covenant head on a pike as a Psi Ops weapon?

As for the weathering, I agree. There should be a little more. If you can, I would try and make it looked more scratched up and worn, IF that is the look you want. I just personally think it would look very cool if it looked like it had been through battle.

I saw the video posted on here demonstrating weathering technique and plan to do that this weekend.

Nice progress so far. I really like the idea of a UNSC motorcycle.

As for weapons suggestions, I've got a few. First, on either side of the front wheel you mount scaled up, modified pistols (I'm thinking of the Ghost, cause the guns on it look like over-sized plasma pistols). You could make somthing that looks like the grenade launcher in Reach and mount it on the front fender (it could double as a headlight, too). Another front fender idea, mount a miniaturised and short-barreled mingun similar to the one on the Warthog. Or you you could built scaled down rocket pods (from the new rocket hog in Reach) and mount them on either side of the rear wheel.
