Finally got this thing to a point where it was presentable. By far the single MoST tedious build I've undertaken thus far. About 2 years worth of weekends (on and off) in the making, with a few processes and techniques learned along the way. I Need to complete the assembly and then add some finishing touches in the weathering and then onto the shelf she goes. I took a wee bit of artistic license...but it's not outside the realm of the original concept. Plus I think (IMHO) that I added slightly to the real world aspect of the design.
p.s. Grenades...God help me, I do love them so.
Humble beginnings

Second verse NOT the same as the first

ready to mold. Note: Foam floats! Keep this in mind when mounting the master in the mold box. I used clay and watched in horror as the trigger assembly rouse out of the rubber as I poured in the rebound. had to use some scrap silicone to keep the dang thing withing it's confines.

Final paint?

hmm how many ways can you photograph a spherical object? Lotsa!
