Dude nice work!
I am so jealous of 3d printing. all we old hands had to build with was paper, foam, and glue. and we had to share the glue!

But really though. this turned out beautifully!

If I had any suggestions. they are only surface-deep: with the thigh strapping if you can bring it to a single point rather than just front and back you can get a little more mobility. I only say this because I myself finally made this change and must spread my revelation to others.

Looking forward to seeing what you do next!

Thanks! As for the thigh strap thing. What do you suggest? My mobility is pretty good with the hips. The only "problem points" are the knees and elbows only getting around 90° movement. I can manage with that so long as I have someone with me. Constructive criticism is always welcome though!

I brought my straps to a connection point that lands almost exactly at my hips. this allowed my thigh pieces to flex and move as if they were fully mounted to a solid suit underneath. (standard straps over the shoulders going down to a belt. and then a triangle shape from the belt to the thighs leading to a single connecting point.)

As for the Shins and Knee pads that is a little more of a conundrum. For my own suit, the shins are made of foam and fit in such a what that they rest tightly to my legs and require no strapping. The knee pads are fitted to the shins and they appear to float away from my knee if I am beyond 90 degrees. so I don't know that I can be much help in that regard.

I have tried various methods of doing knee pads from strapping to elastic. But really anything short of having a physical mounting point on your undersuit for them; will keep them where you want them. (Either a hard point connection like gluing. or heavy-duty velcro might work too I suppose.)

Ah I see. My thighs have thick straps on the front that connect to my belt and chest harness. They also have flexible stretchy straps on the back for extra stability. As for the knees, the armor is connected directly to the knee pads. The back of the shins are just too bulky to pull off too much flexibility. Really all that matters to me is that I can sit down or bend enough to tie my shoes lol

OH MY, this suit is sick! The attention to detail is awesome! How did you do the undersuit? I have been researching how to make one but I have decided what to do.

I used a padded motocross shirt and shorts with some decent looking knee and elbow pads to fill in the joints. Underneath that I wear some cooling underarmor. Found it all on Amazon. The shirt was the priciest part I think. I can list the links to the ones I used here if you like.

oh sweet! its looks good! yeah if you wouldn't mind putting the links. I think I will do this for my suit

Loving the build, the real ones know what’s up with the operator shoulders, oh and those knives! Awesome work keep it up!
