I actually was part of a rumor that Gaz did in fact survive because the angle of the gun being fired when viewed from a different perspective actually hit his throat and not his head, but this is a MW3 thread so that's the last post I'm gonna do about a previous game.

nope...its just a modified version of the same engine they have been using for 5+ years now. They will never move past it as long as the kiddies buy it every year. The graphics in the trailer make my eyeballs want to bleed they look so bad though! It's like a gaming time machine that only goes backwards!

I just watched the trailer.... disappointing
then again i wasnt expecting much.

WHAT I SAW:
-same graphics they've had since CoD 4 (not too good btw)
-same gameplay, nothing new
-exact same thing from CoD 6 but with different landscapes (everything is exploding! national monuments going down! your in a car! your in a helicopter shooting! your in a boat! anyone noticing a trend?)

and dude, seriously, Ghost is dead. Roach and him were both shot in the same place and both lit on FIRE and BURNED TO DEATH! You watch him die. If Roach died in the same way Ghost died. they are just trying to get some emotion outta you like they did with Gaz and trust me there will be a guy played by the same voice actor that people will say "ZOMG (insert name) IS GHOST WHO IS GAZ! GAZ IS UNSTOPPABLE!!!" for christ sake they are both dead and they are both different people. My friend is CoD crazy and its all he talks about and he is crazy about Ghost but knows he is dead. Stop complaining, he isnt gonna be back

XD nice, but what do you mean "He survived cod4"?? Ghost want in cod4!!! Unless your one of those guys who thinks Gaz is ghost. But thats just not true. Gaz is DEFINATELY dead. he got shot in the head! Ghost however, was shot in the torso, and after being examined by an actual doctor (Seriously! A while back i found a review of ghost's wounds by an actual doctor!), it was deemed that its definately possible to survive a gunshot wound of that caliber, from that distance, in that area of the body. SO HES NOT DEAD, GOSH NABBIT!!!!!!!

I think you're letting your obsession with Ghost go a little far. You believe Gaz is dead, but not Ghost?? He was shot point-blank with a (presumably .50 caliber) Desert Eagle, doused in gasoline, and set on fire. Did your doctor's review mention the fire part? You yourself state that this doctor said it's possible, which means "it could happen if all the right elements occur, there is a miracle from God, and all the planets align...at the same time".

possible =/= probable, or that it did in-fact happen

On topic, the graphics don't look like they have changed much, but I guess I'm ok with that since I really like MW graphics. I'm sure they were at least polished up a bit. However, the one thing I did notice from the trailer is the same exact type of gameplay from MW2, like Rhinoc pointed out. Granted, it IS an FPS, and I suppose it's difficult to get original at this point, but all I saw was more running+shooting, and shooting from moving vehicles. It's starting to look a lot like a Michael Bay movie.

I'll probably still buy it though....

Ok, I may have taken a it a bit to far, but hes my favorite cod charachter, and i just dont think that was the way he should have died! And this is the last thing im gonna say about the subject: You can clearly see in the cutscene that they only puor gas on you, not ghost. ghost was also in a separate pit than roach. and so I generally ignore the flames in disscussions such as this. So ya see, shepherd only wanted the DSM, so you can assume him and his lackeys high-tailled it outta there pretty quick. So ghost probably faked death till shepherd left. And as for how he got out of there, remember archer and toad, the snipers from the begining of the level? well we never find out what happens to them. so what i think happened is ghost got up after shepherd left, then archer and toad met up with him, gave him medical attention, then got out of there.

OK, thats all im gonna say. Now as for the graphics, sure theyre the same engine, but honestly, i have no problem with them! I think theyre realistic enough for today's technology, and i really dont see what everyones problem is with them!

Either you have low standards or you game on a console exclusively...A real pc gamer would tear this games graphics to bits. I'm not even as picky as I've seen some of those dudes get.

i am pretty sure this was announced like last week or sometime around there, one of my friends told me and i got all excited =D he said that Master Chief somehow gets of the ship stuck in space
you know when MC said wake me if you need me? well after, the screen whent black and you can hear cortana say Chief, Chief can you hear me, and he woke him so well that's all i know, it must have been announced on bungie or something

Road kill, I think bungie isn't with Halo anymore, 343i is controlling the franchise while Bungie works on Aerospace.

Actually the leak confirmed that the have moved past the IW4.0 engine, they are using a brand new one, this is the reason I am excited about the game, for real I can even post the link for you if you don't believe! This would also explain the upgrade in graphics, shaders, lighting, and facial detail could only go so far with it which is why the CoD faces looked waxy in the last 4 games.

again no....it is a modified MW2 engine. They are not using any new tech besides tweaking what they have been using for years.

About the Ghost thing with the survival stuff. He'd be dead in a hour or so. Not to mention he was burned with Roach...DEAD!

theorically if he had gotten to a doctor in time(minus burning to a crisp), the mortal wound MIGHT have been survivable.

I don't have high hopes at all for COD:MW3

2008 engine vs a new 2011 engine. 2011 engine is more life-like. I'm guessing more accurate shape geometries in the weapons and enviroments too because of more engine power for 3D shapes.

i must say that i am tired of what people are saying about mw3 and its graphics, there are still a few months before its release, so its possible that they are upgrading the engine but the trailer is all they had to release at the time because of the leak. but lets face it if they keep the same graphics as the last games, we will all still buy it or rent it, or play it at some point just because we were fans of the last 2 or are curious if has been any changes to anything at all. the mw series is one of the fps shooters out there and will always have a spot reserved for it on in game library.

Guy's the trailer graphics are going to be different from the released game, it was the same with B:OPS, Trailer had old PC graphics when the actual game had pretty decent graphics(And everything else).

And I mostly get CODs for the story mode, the MP isn't bad it just too easy to win(Witch is pretty good every now and then).

BF3 IMO has the best FPS POV perspective-thing. I hope they incorporated the way HomeFront(Was fun until the servers where "fixed") did the vehicle system So that you can't camp the vehicles, but I'm fine either way. Games to get the end of the year: H:CE B:F3, RAGE, rent MW:3 & GOW:3

Also have you guy's seen RAGE By ID Software? Looks good. I'm a huge ID fan btw.
