Hello everyone! First I just want to say thank you for this awesome site and all of the info into it. So I started making my armor last september, however I decided to scrap that suit in favor of the hd models. Just a couple of weeks ago actually i got everything all resined, but then I saw I saw Ixius's pep armor, and I was like man thats awesome Ive gotta use those models now. So thats what Im in the middle of right now. Here is some pics of the hd stuff ive got built as of right now. My only question as of now is what you guys think of the size of the forarm relative to the bicep? I think the bicep could use to be a lil bit bigger, but with the forarm covering the base of the glove(which i wanted to do) it dosent look to bad. Also the top of teh bicep piece is just over the top of my shoulder, maybe like 1/8 to 1/4 inches over. Thanks, DisturbedJato.

Whew! Arnt you a busy bee

The pep looks very well done from what I can tell. On the Bicep/Forearms though... I would make the bicep bigger and the forearms smaller....

So far your work looks very promising, keep it up!

NICE job bro, better than what i am doing

yes the Biceps/Forearms are off
forearms are a little big and it is the opposite with the Biceps

Thank you for the comments everyone. Ive come to the conclusion that I do need to reedo the biceps/forarms. I did some measuring and took some photos of my old armor as well. My olf forarm measures 11.5 inches in length, while the hd one measured 13(longer so it would fit over the glove better). I didnt realize that scaling the forarm up that much would make it that much bigger in width, which makes it look big. Idk i screwed up the scale on the hd bicep, prolly beacuse i was rushing, im trying to get as much done as I can before school starts. Anyways back on track, my old bicep measured 11 inches, and the hd on was 10 inches. So here is pics of teh old bicep forarms, the only thing i would change is making the forarm around 12 inches just so that it goes past my elbow a little bit more.
Thanks, DisturbedJato

In that picture, your pieces look better proportioned... it looks about right. It would also help us make a decision if you took a picture of your arm straight with the bicep/forearms on.... just so we can be sure :D

Perfect, and your diagnosis is:

Bicept: scale larger by 1 cm

Forearm: scale larger by about 4 cm

The reason I say this is because it looks like your using the Low Defs, which is good to figure out the correct scale. However, the Low Def forearms will always look wacky no matter what you do ...but judgeing from where the top reaches I would say scale up a few cm and rebuild the forearms in the HD models... and everything will be ok :]

(as you might be able to tell... Ive spent ALOT of time making amillion Low Def forearms, trying to get it right lol)

Thanks a ton BlacRoseImmortal, yeah luckily I kept my low def stuff around. So my objective for today will be to redo that stuff in the hd and scale up as you mentioned. So hopefully later today i will have those done and pics up.

Thanks again, DisturbedJato.

Well finally after about 8 hours of work I finally got the pieces built, and the are lookin good. It was hard tryin to get the pictures good since the pieces kept on wnating to move, so they may look a lil bit off. I did my best to try and make it level.

Thank you everyone, it does look much better. Today Im going to try and get the left thigh and foot done, if I only get one done then Ill just post up some pics of it. Anyways Im really hoping that I have this done by Halloween. So i was figuring that as long as I have everything built, resined, and glassed by the end of september that would leave me a month to bondo/sand/paint. Which I hope is going to be enough time, looks like im gonna have to put in 10 hours days sanding over the long 5 day weekend we have in the middle of oct

@AoBFrost- i found it in the costume wiki, its nugget's model. Model

@rvb4life- yeah i wanted to go to the mayhem fest, one of my friends in cali went and he said they were really good. the fest just came through town recetly but i couldnt go :( Rock on Disturbed (y)

"Exellent"

The pieces came out just as I had planned :D

Alrighty so here is a lil update, nothing to much tho. I just finished the foot like 5 minutes ago and its looking good. I think the size looks about right. For shoes inside of the boot im going to epoxy a pair of old adidas flip flops i have in there. I tried it with my old boot pieces and it was easy to just slide my foot in and out. So here are the pics, comments and criticisms are welcome. :D
