my mum wont let me use resin

hi everyone im planning on making a MKV suit but my mum has threw a spanner in the works and said im not allowed to use resin so is there any alternatives to using fiberglass resin

Non-toxic resin. It's probably going to be your best bet. You would probably have to check with individual distributors for pricing. There are few members on here who have used it who may be able to give you a better idea on price.

You could make your armor out of foam. There are a number of threads about this. Ben Streeper's Foam Armoring thread probably has the most amount of information consolidated in one place.

Hmmm.... you could do the hotglue method, but thats a last resort...

Steve is right, if you don't want to use aqua resin or foam then using hot glue is your best bet.

I've personally used this method and it works great. It is possible to do your build using hot glue as a type of "resin" and then fill the parts with non toxic plastic. Both methods can be used indoors.

I take it she won't let you use the aqua-resin w/ fiberglass method outside of the house? you could be able to do it in a level place in your backyard, if possible.
