http://www.starfortressproductions.com/navigation.html check the pic out for the link "Gaming."

http://www.starfortressproductions.c...avigation.html Check the link. It says for players of:

Starcraft.

Halo.

Warcraft.

So far nothing is there, but it seems they picked up on Halo costuming.... The whole thing with Star Wars is bad enough but now Halo? I fear uneducated kids will flock to the store once they start making halo armor as well... I foresee many troubles ahead!

Question is, how will they get the armor?

So far their reputation besides having the owner fugitive from the US due to child porn also includes making molds of others armors that they buy. Kinda makes me wonder if they'll come over here.

Just thought I'd say thats a bit nerve-wracking.

StarFortress? I heard the owner is a Pedophile and I've seen some quality of his Armor. The quality is quite good, its the maker himself thats the problem. At least Rubies is a Company whilst StarFortress is just a Man and his wife selling costuming goods for money. I do not trust them in anyway all because of their Reputation. I too sense trouble ahead, lets just hope it goes well.

Actually, that is not entirely true. The previous owner was escaping the U.S. of pedophilia charges. He has since moved on after a couple of changes to extradition laws. They have come under new management, but the stigma is still sticking to them among almost every costuming group.

I've seen some of their stuff and it is okay. Some is better than others. However, in the 501st, the common story is that they recast everything they make. This is false as their claimed recasting of one guys Shadow Guard looked nothing like the guy in questions kit he was selling.

As with all things, I suggest "buyer beware." Though some of their stuff is good, I'd look at the "kit" version and do it yourself for accuracy and ease of fixing.

Some of what they have is ok sometimes I see stuff of thiers on ebay that they are selling. I know I got a Imperial Officer badge from them a while back but I regret getting it after I found out it was rubber.

I'm not stupid enough to judge a man's ability to operate a business based on his private fetishes.

Right! So that must mean all the prop sites and the majority of us are wrong! Tell that to the people who never got their items and somehow lost "contact" with them. Tell that to all repuatable prop sites. 0r, better yet, why don't you order something from them?

No one is being "stupid". Kinda dumb to assume that though. (No offense...) Besides being a sick person with an illegal "fetish", its not the only thing that keeps most people away from them. Do research. Every prop site I've been on has members that have been ripped off from them. Most sent their money and never got their items or a response back.

There's a reason why about the majority of people/sites WARN others about them. They have poor customer service, a shady past and their armor is bad. In the pictures they don't look bad, but if you've seen the pics people have posted when they arrived, you'd be dissapointed. That is if it ever arrives...

Don't assume we're judging a company that has a history of negativity just because one of them was a sick man. If people would actually Google Starfortressproductions and take a look on what others have said about them, we wouldn't have this issue.

I'm all for second chances. I heard they are SL0WLY starting to get on the right track, but even then people still continue to report bad quality armor and in most cases still have never recieved what they paid for. If they can actually improve on EVERYTHING and be honest propmakers, then I'd take another glance at what they have to offer. If anyone wants to spend their money on something they may never get, be my guest.

And, if I'm not mistaken its illegal to mass produce an item to gain a profit off of something like this. I highly doubt Microsoft would allow it either.

BTW, this is by no means on my part an attack against you. But I do advise you read into them before calling the majority of costumers who dealt with SFP stupid. Thanks.

insert rant here

I'm fairly sure he was only referring to the pedophilia charges, and not discounting other reasons for disliking the seller. Reading comprehension, people, let's make use of it. Also, you seem very eager to speak for a majority of their customers, when I get the feeling that instead it's a vocal minority. For someone trying to make a logical point, you have a noticeable lack of references.

BACK ON SUBJECT, I've seen one or two of their listings on eBay before. Their site could definitely use some work so it doesn't look like a toddler's fingerpainting. I always like adding to the count of sellers that one-up Rubie's, though. I hate that suit with passion.
