Uhm, we're all very keen at helping people here...but if you had gone through the noob orientation video, among other very basic tutorials that are plastered all over the noob forum, you'd find everything you need to get started. As for advice...I suggest asking specific questions, they're much easier to answer, I mean, advice is just such a broad category.

That said, I'll give you some basics.

You'll need Pepakura Designer/Viewer 3 in order to view the .Pdo (pep) files
Pep files can be found using the search function, to either look for the individual files, or just search Official Reach Pepakura
You'll need either 65 or 110Lb paper to print your Armor onto, 65 is easier on printers, 110 doesnt warp as easily
I would suggest reading around as much as you can, reading and watching as many tutorials as possible. Look at other peoples' works for ideas on how to go about yours. Basically, you have to follow 8 steps.
1. Read
2. Read
3. Read
4. Read more
5. Read even more
6. You're done reading, now you can... no I lied, read more
7. Watch some videos
8. You're ready to begin thinking about making a pepakura project...You'll need to read throughout it.

More advice-
make sure to follow all the safety procedures with the materials and chemicals you're working with, most are hazardous. If you don't know the safety procedure, look it up.
You may want to start with a mini project, like a smaller scale helmet, or something very basic, like a knee or shoulder.
Don't start with weapons, they're very difficult.

Final Note....

Hi and welcome to the 405th. There is a lot of information around, but I'd suggest you start by:

Watching this orientation vido:
http://www.405th.com/showthread.php/15735-New-Recruit-Orientation-Video

Reading this complete Noob list:
http://www.405th.com/showthread.php/14613-Complete-Noob-List

Reading this on how to use Pepakura to create the paper models:
http://www.405th.com/showthread.php/1034-Tutorial-How-to-use-Pepakura-to-make-your-Mjolnir-Armor

Reading this on how to "scale" your paper creation to fit you:
http://www.405th.com/showthread.php/25588-How-to-Scale-Your-Armour-Tutorial-V.2

Reading this on some of the forum's best practices:
http://www.405th.com/showthread.php/27746-ATTENTION-NEW-(and-existing)-MEMBERS!-READ-THIS-NOW-PLEASE!

That's a start only. There is lots more reading required! Have fun learning!

Maybe not so much studying reading, more as Comprehension Reading. We really don't lay out Tutorials per say, more of guidelines. What I would have said, has already been covered.

Research is what I would call it. I found that 99% of all the knowledge is in the stickies. I had to ask very little from the members for any kind of help.

Pat is correct. If you do have to ask a question it NEEDS to BE SPECIFIC. A broad question is quite hard to answer and usually leads to a broad answer.

Posting pictures is very helpfull too.

In addition to the statements above, you can also check out a few of the elite projects for ideas, solutions, inspiration and motivation. This is where I spent most of my time with regards to reading.

Good luck with your build.
