I am loving this crazy progress! its coming back together so fast and it really looks great. I think the scaling and proportions look better this time around too.

Are you trying to crank this out before the IM2 premier?

I agree with you. Its crazy how fast ive gotten with this paper stuff (then again im stayin up til 4 in the am to get these pieces put up). I really like the new scale as well. It just fits better all over the place so far.. Im hoping i can make it for the iron man 2 premiere.. That would be insane!Although, my actual plans so far are to make it for halloween at the end of the year. But if i happen to make it to the IM2 release, then its just all the better right?

Well without sacrificing quality (which i know you wouldnt!!) having it done before IM2 would definitely be very fun. I think at this rate though you may be able to get it done by then. dontcha think? if you don't burn yourself out with lack of sleep that is.

Do you have all the resins and bondo and stuff, or are you waiting to get that? Also, will you be using some sort of flex foam or other semi flexible material for bendy pieces such as the neck and joints etc?

Definitely dont want to sacrifice any quality. Youre right about that. Yeah, sleep deprevation would kinda suck too.haha. I usually sleep up on sundays. It really depends on timing with work and school. Next semester i have 16 credit hours instead of 12 (this semester). So that takes some time from it. Also, ill still be working 40 hours a week at work, so any free time will go towards homework or this guy. I have all the resin and fiberglass here, i haven't purchased the bondo just yet. But thats what walmarts for.. For now, i plan on doing the entire armor in resin/bondo, and then if i still have time before the iron man 2 release ill take a swing at casting some pieces in some other flexible material in order to increase the mobility in the suit. But thats only IF i make it that far before the movie. If not, then i have 5 months to go at it before halloween...so either way it looks plausible.

wow you're going to be extremely busy! yeah i think thats a good idea, get everything glassed/bondoed first and if time allows, upgrade with some fancier stuff materials on parts that require it.

Hope you don't mind me asking, what are you going to school for?

Im going to school for my bachelors in culinary management. Im a chef currently at Circa 1886, a four star restaurant in charleston sc. (im not the executive, just the rotisseur aka grill chef). Also, here is my most recent progress pictures. Shoulders are up and on, as well as a size comparison using yours truly!

It's really coming along...I admire you for having the patience to wait until it is all pep'd before you glass it. Most can't wait that long and half of the time parts don't fit properly or are misproportioned because of it.

wow. That is truly impressive. The sizing looks dead on. I cannot wait to see this finished. Its going to be incredible dude.

im loving this.

I usually do things in stages, i prefer it that way. It seems more organized to me that way and it just makes more sense because of the proportions.

Now you can be "Iron Chef"! :)

Nice work! Your progress is zooming! (I don't think I could stay up until 4 am, my subconscious wouldn't allow it)

You must have a lot of patience to do all this pepping.

you should so show up to class in a iron man suit, but with adorning chef "attachments!" like the hat, apron, and a whisk!

BTW, the armor is looking very good, I can't really describe how much I like it atm. Keep up the work, I love seeing great progress...
