Thought I would post up some of the other work I've done this past year in one thread, 'cause I don't really need separate threads cluttering up the place.
In no particular order:
Autobot and Decepticon badges... I hated the movies but the logos are still cool with me
G.I.Joe bages... same story with the Transformers stuff, I don't have high hopes for the movie but it's still cool
Watchmen Wrath of God badge/patch (unfinished)
The new Trek badges:
Couple of different Resident Evil T-Virus vials
Steamball from the movie Steamboy:
40K Bolter
Jango Fett Westar 34 (unfinished)
These I'm going to have machined in aluminium at some stage.
Some of my District 9 stuff:
this is designed to be a pepper popper target, you know those falling targets?
The stamping on the back of the target
These are a couple of signs based on promo material
The second uses the alien language.
I think this would make a really cool paperweight or something:
There's supposed to be a human on the other side.
My 1:1 animated Hellboy sculpt:
He used to have bigger shoulders like in the second pic but they were removed because he was just too big.
I actually took it down with me to meet Guillermo del Toro at the Weta Cave a while back (for his book "The Strain"), went over quite well! Mr. del Toro thought he was really cool, as did a few friends from Weta ... I just wish I had been there when Mike Mignola was in town.
I guess to finish this all off I'll post a current project:
My HEV suit, hoping to finish it by April next year. Thanks to Nugget for the model, I grabbed it ages ago when it was first released and only just got around to unfolding it the other day :eek
As I said a while ago on Twitter:
"Once again I am either a scaling genius or incredibly lucky, everything was perfectly scaled first time... I'd say it's the latter "
Haven't been able to do any more on the suit because of the weather, I'm hoping it warms up soon so I can get back to fiberglassing.
