I'd be a spartan, who wants a life anyway when the earth's been so screwed probably everyone you know is dead.. If war is what I was going to grow up with, I'd want to be bred for it and excel at it rather then try to create a family life in that scenario.. In peace time.. ODST for sure though.

Spartan, simply because you can flip any vehicle by walking up to it and merely commanding it to move. Also that and you can effortlessly jump 2 metres into the air.

I would say ODST, not only because of the game. But I liked ODST since Halo 2. They are almost as good as SPARTANS. The would have a better life in time of peace(If they survive), that spartans, and who said that ODST cant have sex drive's, what did Buck and Dare do after the Game??? ;)

Although if the UNSC can train more spartans, why do they only have one spartan. They had a $#!T-load of SPARTANS in Halo Wars, why cant they train more in the future. Why do they just leave John/117 do all the work.

So thats why I think I would be an :

Definitely Odst. As much as I love Spartans, their lives suck!!!! If you read the books, the stuff they do to their bodies in order to make them better soldiers is horrible! Doesn't change their coolness factor though. :p

It wasn't a fail it was a change of plan, pay attention jeez, nah I kid I kid. But Veronica got a message from ONI telling her to secure the cities super intendant.

any way I really dont know... It's such a hard question, ODSTs get to drop in pods, blow up cities and other crap, and get awsome weapons. Spartans get all of the above and more but get taken away from families at the age of 6, lol, marines are just crap, they cant survive anything, and an engineer, "Hey look at me, I give everyone health boosts and fix crap they break!" bullet sponge. In all I choose ODST because they die honorably and have the best graves, spartans die honorably to and it never goes down as KIA its just MIA because they dont want to have marines be put down. But I choose ODST, Prepare to drop helljumper.

But as Alex spartan said, "They cant train more spartans" well they have the ability to but stealing children is bad enough, also It takes alot to train a spartan to do what he/she does. the reason they have so many in HW is because it is 20 years before H1 and those spartans are based off of book characters.

Spartan; Yes we are taken at age six and FORCED to train in some of the most grueling ways. Yes there is a chance we will have a side affect from the biological injections that's not the intended outcome(If I remember correctly some get to become ONI, some die.. may have to reread the book..) We get a spiffy suits with SHIELDS. Don't know about you all but plasma seems like it would hurt, bad and I would love the added protection. I can use a ODST pod as well- Halo2(or maybe Halo3 haven't played in a LONG time), master chief touches down on one map with a bunch of ODST(who all die on legendary) and pops out with a rocket launcher.. I can flip a warthog, tank(now, the tank may just be for the game's sake) I can insert a nice AI into my suit to help me out.. All in all spartan gets my win.. Besides what type of life can you have when our colonies are being destroyed anyway? And the covenant take no prisoners... Oh and a spartan never dies..

I would be a Spartan because it’s a hard life. Plus if I’m going to die for my country I would like my country to stop dead in its tracks and look in amazement win they see me fall in the battle. :D

i would want to be a spartan because i really dont have anything to lose. and the military life is my life so yeah a spartan all the way

I'm gonna have to say Spartan. If someone walked up to me today and offered me the opportunity to go through excruciating physical alteration and training, in return for an unbreakable and superhuman body, with the training, drive and focus to be the sharp edge of the sword, I would jump at the chance. ODST are great and accomplish a lot, but I would want to know that the human race could count on me to take on its most dangerous missions, alone if need be, and come out on top. I'm a guy. Guts, glory, superhuman strength, speed, intellect; yeah, where do I sign? Plus MJOLNIR freaking rocks. Sorry, no biofoam needed my friends. Grav Hammer to the chest? Okay, so it tickles a bit, but I bounce back and tell you to pound sand. As far as no sex drive, I'm Mormon and still single, so that's par for the course. To quote the Halopedia on the SMG, the ODST weapon of choice:

"I’ve seen a Spartan use two at once, tearing the crap out of the little ones; sending the big ones down in bloody heaps. But I guess that’s what ya gotta be to pull it off: an action-movie hero or a seven-foot-tall walking tank."

—Anonymous Marine

I think that about sums it up. I'd like to see an ODST do that...

I think another one of my main reasons why I chose Spartans is the ability to build an AI into the armour. I know, I know, John is one of the rare examples of this, but I just love the idea of having my personal computer in the form of an AI wherever I go. As long as it doesn't start performing illegal operations!

Plus, the mental ability of Spartans is mind-boggling. Logic, tactical reasoning, strong emotional control...I love it.
