a warm fuzzy feeling Elvis? talk like that makes me want to add you to my blocked list :D ... i kid, i kid. But if you like the warm fuzzy feeling maybe you should check your inbox, i have a proposition for ya.

Dave make sure Brittany knows how grateful i am for her contribution on the mold,i knew it was to good for you to of tackled alone :p

question, where did the tac-computer cover go? you know the little square box with the whole cut out, that was intended to go over the back of the rails when assembled, to frame out the screen of the Tac. it looks like you stuck it on the underside behind the front grip?

Of course, you of all people would just have to take that out of context, wouldn't you? I'd be surprised if you didn't, though :plol

I'll check my Inbox to see what you sent me, buddy.

Keeping things on topic though, when you say TAC computer, do you mean the ammo counter like what's on the BR? :unsure

yea, i figured that the Ma5k would have a tac computer as well... the Ma5 series have all had one so far, and same with the Br family. So i figured this gun would have a simple tac computer in the same location as the Br.

and of course i had to take it out of context, its what i do :D

I know, my friend. Like I said, I'd be surprised if you hadn't, lol.

That's kewl. Now, as the MA5K is smaller in comparison to both the MA5 and BR series of weapons, does that mean the ammo counter will be a little smaller, too? And, are you wanting to put electronics in that area to light it up?

well the Ma5k is a broke down version of the Ma5b (i believe), so from my understanding the receiver and firing mechanisms are all the same. the only difference is a shorter barrel/forward body length... if that makes sense. I left the size of the Stalk and grip the size that Legendary armor had their blueprints, and just chopped up the front and shortened it up... Like i was telling you my measurements are usually spot on... Now my understanding of this could be completely wrong but, the same size of tac computer that goes into the Ma5 series/Br should be able to fit on the Ma5k... thats saying the Haloverse is staying consistent.

and hopefully sometime i will put a electronics kit into one... i will have to learn how to do all that fancy stuff first tho.

goosebot make sure to keep your eyes open, i believe dave is going to do a Run of these shortly.

edit: here are build pics

the blueprints i made, credit goes to Legendary Armor for the original Ma5c Blueprint

at this early stage i asked Dave if he wanted to mold it, way before he even knew how it would turn out he said "hell yes i would like to mold it"

BOLD # 1: Actually, yeah... if I'm not mistaken it's mentioned in GoO that the MA5K is a broken-down version of the MA5B, so it would make sense that aside from the shortened barrel/receiver (forward body) the other components would be standard for all makes/models. Would make it easier for in-the-field repair and maintenance.

BOLD # 2: That'd be kewl to install either a simple back-lit ammo counter, or one of those digital displays that counts down the ammo when you press the trigger.

BOLD # 3: I would imagine, since a mold has now been made, that that is the general idea, lol.

As for those WiP pics, nice! Definately loving the detail you put into that bad boy. You did one helluva fine job on that build, buddy! We're starting to develop quite a talented group of "weapon specialists" here, it seems :D heh

I would have to agree that would make for a nice accessory to an ODST outfit. Would suit it pretty well, I think :)

Man, I know it's not cannon, but I WANT one of these in Reach.

Great gun. Freaking incredible.

*Looks at wallet* Hmmm...If I don't make my ODST costume, I could buy a cast... But then, what would I wear with it?!

LOL, dude, thats freeking sick! As soon as I find some extra cash that isn't getting taken up by my ODST and BR build, I will totally be interested in buying a cast or 2.

Epic work, and I vote best scratch build with lack of referance ever!

Joel I have no clue what you are refering to...(fixing weapons now...lol.)

hahaha, sure ya dont.

idk i kinda like the extra detail on the bottom side there... maybe you could figure out something to put under there?

again great molding job Dave, i couldnt tell the master from the cast... im impressed.

I'm super impressed with this build! This is one of my favorite guns, so it is nice to see it alive! Great work everyone. I'll be looking for the run on these. I might have to splurge a bit.

@ Loess: Lol "Wifezilla"

I'm really glad how it all turned out!

That mold is a heavy SOB, even without plastic in it. ^.^

As Dave was mentioning to me earlier, this mold has very little flash on the edges, it's a pretty economical mold without a terrible amount of cleanup to do with a dremel post-casting (yes dave, I know, except for the front grip which I kinda messed up >.> <.<)

Now to figure out the wiring to mount the tac light in the front and the ammo counter in the readout!

Now that Dreadmullet has shown you all the build images I guess it is time for the official release to the Forum Members. Dreadmullet call me today.

Dave you are such a sales men, its outrageous... dont forget folks this bad boy does have a flash light just like the Ar so if you get a kit make sure to buy a flash light, it will look much better.
