Going to go for making the vast majority of it wearable this weekend. So a few small updates before the big push.

I seem to have misplaced my seams :p

Oh and color, everyone likes color right?

What color is that orange? Hard to tell in photo. And gun metallish gray and gold? I think it may be some weird lighting. Can't wait to see the stuff all together and painted. Personally after painting a few different colors lately I like the lighter colors as a base. You can just make them appear more "gritty" but really that just comes down to personal preference.

The base is a metallic black. The original paint shown in the pic got replaced (just didnt work out). So the new accent will be Orange, I plan to give it a light blackwash to help mute the color a bit. Going for my MP Spartan paint job. Unashamedly inspired by Poe Dameron's Xwing :).

Small update with the new orange color. I really love how this black metallic is coming out.

Update for the day. We have some shin armor! I ended up making it split in two after all parts are printed. That being said, I was able to put my foot in with it completely assembled so I may just assemble it and get rid of any second thoughts regarding magnets holding it together.

Also, apparently when you start painting boosters they look like spaceships :p

The second paint color is going on now. Getting some color on some of the bigger pieces. Shoulders are all but done, just a little cleanup and clear coat and then complete.

As for the paint scheme reference/inspiration. It is based on my Halo 5 MP Spartan who sports a Poe Dameron inspired paint job my wife made for me. I'll take the big movements from here, but will most likely make a few adjustments here and there.

Got the first few parts with clear coat added. Really brings out the shine. Painting the orange on the boosters now, will assemble shins tomorrow.

How did you end up attaching your 2 chest halves together? Or is you didn't do it in halves how did you sit it so you can put it on?

I use buckles hidden within the armor. They hooked to elastic straps, the straps riveted to the armor, and then the buckle hot glued in place. Gives 3 levels of stability/security. Works great.
