Hi there. Just been checking out some members vids on youtube and stumbled across the orientation vid & it says to introduce yourself so here I am
My names Steve & I'm about to start my first MKVI helmet & Armour, (Just waiting for the damn card stock top arrive in the post, GRRR). Stumbled across your group whilst checking out the "how to's" on you tube. What a great group, all this info & everyone eager to share. Great to see. I look forward to posting my progress on site & hearing peoples feedback. I intend to make armour for both me & my 7 year old then the both of us can go to our very first Comic Con next year. Lets hope it all pans out as planned. I'm 36. A father of 3. Originally from Bolton but now live in Cornwall. Former Infantry soldier in the British Army and have a passion for building and making. Made a fleet of star wars vehicles for my sons ceilling on pepakura, so why not try this.

Other: I am very thrilled to make the leap in joining this community and get back to building things. I may be a 2D artist by trade, but I have always vastly enjoyed the act of creating a form with my hands. Ceramics--my first love--was too expensive to pursue on a personal level while putting myself through school. So, I turned to stitchicraft which is...marginally rewarding only because it's done and I never have to stitch one more half-stitch again. It is very exciting to step in to fan-building and I am pleased to have found such a dedicated and mutually supportive community to join.
