Seems like there some field or table issues on the Profile pages. At least there is on mine. All of the My Information entries show up on one line. :unsure



Same thing for the Contact Info box.

ok ok... now i know i loved the old IPB 2 system... havent looked much into IPB3 and from what i have seen on other sites it does the job well... the only issues i always have is the super wide format. the colors currently and on the main site of the forums the ad/sponsors and the recent topics. the older IPB2 system worked perfectly.



not to critisize too much adam but wouldnt it been better if you installed the new board on a different subfolder and skin it then implement it afterwards? cause i personally never liked the ipb design for IPB3 far too much going on and most of the community will never use the features unless you have alot of tech people playing with it.



thinks i like about new ipb3 icon and username stuff has a convenient dropdown system... but it requires more clicking to do get to things.. slight inconvenience...

search bar always at top! no more dropdown for that!

constant rss feeds... i dont use them a few might but most still dont..

recently added topics... and watched content along with sponsored links... not really needed unless were microsoft or bungie... or yahoo.

current skin is far to streamlined for mass news groups, tech sites, support forums... i know this will change.

watch forum links... are they really needed?

Chat was always fun when we had it for a short amount of time... hope it comes back..

i dunno adam. tinker with it soon. alot of people would probably have wanted you to impliment the new update after a skin was made or resembled the old style. possibly a warning a day or so before (yes a mass pm system or an announcement on the main forum is available in ipb2) telling us we were getting an upgrade be prepared for a change.



well thats all i got here. hope its an ok critisizim for you. and can we get the forums into a readable size say 9000 or 10000px fixed width not full screen?

I liked IPB 2 better, since it, you know, wasn't in beta form.

Beta = Fixed 300+ bugs. IPB 2 has some *strikingly* bad bugs to be honest (gallery, pm, friend list...mine was jacked up often) and lacks *a lot* of features that members routinely requested. Check out the Release Notes for all that they've repaired and improved. Yes this new board won't be 100% perfect (as with any release of IPB), but I think it's already a huge improvement functionally and organizationally.

The reason that ratings appear on every post is so that if 'Negative Nancy' bashes someone's first pepakura piece, after 5 negative ratings, that comment will become hidden. Conversely, if someone replies in a stellar fashion, that post will become highlighted in angelic glory We'll see how it plays over the next couple of days. The idea is that negativity will be shuffled from view and the kindness, cooperation, and helpfulness will be rewarded.

noticed one more thing. links out of the site no longer open in new windows/tabs they open in thewindow or tab you are currently working on. try and open a link or a youtube vid it doesnt open new windows/tabs no more... possibly an admin option wasnt set.

I also miss the easy to use "View New Posts/Topics since last visit" option at the top. I see the "View New Content" RSS Feed, but I odn't like the layout it gives when you click on it

I am having a small issue. When I post in a thread I can not read past my post. The main menu is showing new posts but I get cut off at mine and I get the rlil error cin in the bottom left. If you giev em an answer here I won't be able to read it....lol.

Went to change the color of my signature so people could see, it came back as an error saying that my signature is too long. Didn't try changing anything but the color. Not upset, just providing feedback. I'm sure small things like this will get ironed out. Like a couple people said already, I'm just not used to change is all. Hope for nothing but the best!!
