You dont have to remake the torso but you could shorten it by cutting the back and raising it a little.

Not that difficult and wouldnt sacrafice too much detail. Remember, it's suppused to be a vest. Its supposed to be higher then your belt area.

It wouldnt be too much work and i think it would be worth it if you dont want to re-make it.

We should be organising a 405th meet-up for the expo sometime before.

Sounds great! I'll be keeping an eye out for it!

What did you scale your helmet to on your second helmet? And did it fit?

I'm curious because I'm gonna make an ODST helmet soon.

On my first helmet I think I scaled it to 280mm, then I thought it was too big so gave it to a friend who's doing Mickey. On the second helmet I scaled it to 260mm but then wasn't confortable with the space (or lack of it) on the inside so I did another at 280mm.

Thanks for the comment King Cobra :)

This is looking awesome, did you put any support in the helmet before resining? if so what and where cuz with such a difficult build i Really want to minimize warping.

tarchinoko, I didn't use any support what-so-ever. I guess I was just lucky :p

phixix, We were like :eek ! "Why did she not win?!"

I'm getting glue on saturday too.

Update! Got something small done thanks to The King Cobra:

Update: 9-1-2010.

Done 2 of jason225's new odst shoulders, still got to do 1 more for Wired.

Also finished the last piece to the torso before christmas but forgot to post it. I'm going to put this top piece into 2 bits so I can actually get my head through the hole ¬¬

Dang those shoulders turned out awesome! Glad the unfold worked out, it's one of the few that I did. I should probably get started on mine soon...

For the Torso you have to put your head in sideways to then rotate it back. :p

Is that really the way it is in the game? I think I might look into this... I don't think I'll be modeling it though.

Nightshade made the hole wider for us to get our head through easier, but the way I sized it I can't even get it in. I've tried that lots of times king cobra :lol

I've done my new chest and the 3rd shoulder.

That's why you double check the size with measuring tape and this site: http://www.asknumbers.com/InchesToCentimetersConversion.aspx

Afew pepping updates and an update regarding my helmet.

Got most of my helmet mudglassed. Done 2 gauntlets courtesy of Jason225

Redone my chest and put supports on it to keep the curved shape.

Last but not least, I've done one of Nightshade's later stomach plates as it curves around the body.

Thanks phixix, the weather's picking up so more resining should happen soon.

On that note, today the weather was better then usual, and guess what. I ran out of resin the other day ¬.¬ great...
