its a great story, however it makes me wonder how terminator was so close at guessing the future... either you helped them out and they made it public appropriate or they are really fn lucky. either way i hope me and my crotch live.

(oh and pooper nice work, lol)

How’s it going everyone? I know that its been a while since I updated anything in my thread, but I’ve just been so busy dealing with work and stuff. But finally, the torso is put together and ready to be glassed!

In the pics, you’ll see that I’ve added a lot of custom cardboard details (and tooth picks) on the pep. I’ve based the details from the McFarlane 12” Action Figure.

I must say that putting this torso together was a real pain, but so worth it when it’s done. Here’s the photos:

This was a pain in the keyster to put together, but worth in the end...

Let me know what you all think! I'll try to glass it soon as I can. Thanks y'all!

Nice job man! That is amazing even if it's only peped. What kind of paper do you use for pepakura stuff since I'm making Rookie armor for my halloween costume.

Thanks! I used 110 Cardstock. The extra added details is cardboard from a Pepsi box, double or single stacked on top or each other, depending on how high you want it.

wow that is literally the most insane torso I have ever seen. You have added so many details!

Thanks! Doing the details on the back (especially in the lower middle part) took some time. I plan on adding other little details on there during the bondo stage.

I love it man!! Looking pretty damn good!!

Thanks man! :D

@ Oreo: Thanks man! Just hoping that it'll come out okay in the end. Also, I know you've got a lot of things going on, but have you done any work on your suit? For me, it seems like I can only work on it 30 mins every other day.

Started glassing yesterday, but had to cut it short due to the weather (GA weather is weird sometimes). I should get a lot of the glassing done tomorrow.

Jedi! Haven't seen ya around for a while... figured you were really busy like me. And yeah, the CB is working out pretty good! I'm planning on adding a little extra details with bondo that I saw on Bluerealm's armor. Thanks Jedi! Be see ya around bud!

Dude your chest kicks my chest butt like no other.

Soulless! Haven't seen you around much either... looks like a lot of us have been busy lately. :D Thanks for the comments! Your torso piece is the reason why I used the same pep file, so I drew inspiration from ya! Hope to see some updates from ya! :)

Nice job on the torso. :) I've been working on mine a bit too. :\

Thanks Mac! :) I'll be on the look out for your torso progress too... nothing like adding in a few added details ya know?

Okay, I know that I said I'd get a lot of the fiberglassing done today, but I'm looking out the window here at work, and it looks as if it's going to pour the rain down hard. Great... Here's hoping it's not raining at the house.

and thanks for the comments everyone! I love to read feed back.

Hey, Pooper. Sorry, I missed your response somehow. I didn't see it until I tried to PM you just now, but your box was full. Anyways, yeah still pretty busy, but things are starting to die down, and I started working on it again last night for the first time in months. Started pepping the HD shin in order to try out the clay-over-pep method. Since I don't really intend to wear my masters (I'm going to mold/cast parts as I go), I figured why not.

Anyways, what I tried to PM you about was to ask how helpful was it to have the 12" figure as reference vs. static pics for the detail work. Again, your torso details are amazing, and I saw how they carried over from pics I've seen of the 12" figure. I'm considering buying one or maybe one of the 5" figures if those have enough details in them.

Thanks, and hopefully I can make some good progress now that I've finished unpacking, etc.

I'd say the 12" figure is your best bet since I have two but I do have the 5" ones and the detail on them are ok but not enough in my opinion.

@ Oreo: Good to hear that you're still on it. And using the clay over pep method! Ya gotta tell me how that works out. :)

As for your question, it really depends on the source material. McFarlene toys usually put out toys with very high detail. If it was a toy from, say... Toy Biz or Mattel, I might just look at screen shots more (although I use both). The 5" figures are good for reference, but go with the 12" figures. You can see the depth of the details better and will give you a better understanding on where to include them. At least that works for me.

@ Soulless: Right on bud! :)

Nothing new to report folks... I've been sick over the weekend and it's raining on and off for the past two days. It better stop soon... I want to at least get the torso and Cod piece done for dragon con.
