Hey man, good luck! I'm still working on my helmet, but it might be a while before I make any more headway, because I'm moving this weekend. Not looking forward to pepping that HD torso...

Still working on the helmet huh? Well, the more you take your time on it, the better it'll look! :) As for the torso, putting it together is fine (well, except for those Damn little squares on FS's first HD torso), it's cutting the pieces out that I hate. Hope moving goes okay for ya.

ha, Thanks! :) Just have to add LED and proper padding. Soaring Hammer helped inspire me to try using foam padding, and I'm going to line it with headliner fabric like Sean Bradley.

Well everyone, I'm still at work. I can't wait to get home, so I can start on the torso. Magazine deadlines are hell sometimes... :cautious:

Hey when you were fiberglassing I saw you wearing one of those paint breathing mask protectors. Any idea on how much those are and where you got yours? (They look expensive, I am hoping they are not over 15 bucks!!)

yep, it's the all important respirator. you absolutely NEED TO WEAR THIS when fiberglassing. you can find a good one at any local hardware shops for 25 dollars. I got mine at home depot. hope this helps. :D

Thanks. Yeah, progress is slow on the ol' bucket. My agreement with my wife (marriage first, right? ...uh, right? ;) ) is that I'll only work on it 3 days a week, all 3 of which are mostly taken up by work or church already.

Yeah, I know what you mean with the wife thing. :) My girlfriend teases me with my armor builds, but she loves seeing what I create and supports my hobby. Except she wants me to work on it 2 days out of the week! :p

Hey thanks, that means a lot! :) I'll try not to disappoint you and everyone here on the forum! Just trying to balance life and armor building ya know? Maybe I can get some time management pointers from Ithica. That way, I'll have 20 helmets done in 3 weeks. lol!

I'll start on the front torso when I get home from work.

Great Work Pooper, the helmet rocks. I have pretty much admired your work since I joined the 405th, and I think your work is turning out great.

A bit offtopic I know, but I really like your signature aswell. How did you make it? I know youre a Art artist or simillar, but nothing more.

Hey, thanks man! And to answer your question, I took pictures of me in my old armor and photoshop them. Here's a link to show you how to do the flame effect...

http://psd.tutsplus.com/tutorials/tutorials-effects/how-to-create-a-flaming-photo-manipulation/

I can't remember the other link for the smoke effect on the other.

I have a question for all of you... how the Heck do you change/edit the sub header/title of a thread? I went to the first post and tried to edit it there like in the old forums, and I don't have the option. Help!

EDIT: I figured it out folks!

Hey you should stop working on the torso and continue that later!! You MUST and you MUST make a crotch guard for some dangerous types of situations. Hope it helped :D

Ha! I'll keep that in mind deathofblades. :)

Oh you should, in fact I can predict the future thats why ;) . In the year 2018, the Playboy industry will go out of business because of a new company called Crotchnet. In the year 2020 Crotchnet becomes the main porno industry in the whole entire world. It becomes so popular that they mass produce their products and they make a TV show by launching a satelite into space (The satelite looks exactly like Dr. Evils space craft that looks like a...) After 2 years from the satelite launch Crotchnet becomes selfaware and hacks into and takes over Military land installations and Nuclear Weapon facilities. They try to pull the plug and Crotchnet launches nukes at Russia first. Why Russia? Because they are damn commies and were too poor to buy crotchnet products (Alo Russia was making potato and vodka porn) After Russia, Crotchnet nukes the rest of the world and finally USA. Crotchnet thinks it won until it realizes there are pockets of human resistance blowing up Crotchnet industries. Crotchnet gets angry and mass produces its human like machines in its factories. These human-like machines or Crotchinators or for short C-100s are the most advanced and efficient human killing machines. It kicks the male in the crotch which basically means the male was "crotchinated" The impact is soo hard that it kills the male. For females they just strangle them. The human resistance was becoming extinct UNTIL a man named Pooper Connor invents the Crotch Guard! The crotch guard made the C-100s useless. Crotchnet was furious and quickly found a way to time travel and sent a C-100 to kill Poopers mother! Pooper quickly realizes it until his division storms one of the Crotchnets biggest branch and sees a C-100 electricuted and poofed. Poopers smart ability quickly realizes that they invented a time machine and Pooper specifically says "$#!T" Pooper gets one of his officers or his father Mr. Pooper and sends him back to time to save his mother. Mr. Pooper goes back in time and saves Poopers mother. But Mr. Pooper was kicked in the crotch trying to save Mrs. Pooper. The C-100 was now in half and chased Mrs. Pooper by crawling. Mrs. Pooper gets a baseball bat and before she wacks the Crotchinators head off she says "you've been crotchinated you crotchinator motherF@!Ker" And kills it. The end :)
