I figure a full dry cycle on spray paint cant be more than 1-2 hours, and I figure I waited about that long, but I'm sure I rushed it in parts.
Yeah the eyes are a big pain in the rear, but I can't really do much about them because of the way I originally cast the helmet. I can grind down that solid plastic on the inside, but it'd be a huge undertaking, and I'm not sure how well that will translate into a final mold, so the may get a blind eye turned to that section. yeah, they are a good 3/8th inch too thick on the sides, but as long as they are symetrical, I don't think TOO many people will notice.
I'm actually a little more worried about the brow. I don't think you can see the full effect in the pictures ,but it has a strange sloping curve to it which will not fly by any means, so thats definately on the list of clean up items. Shoot. I could spend another 3 months just "cleaning up" this helmet. Thats the curse of this art. haha
I'm nearly ready to show some early prototypes of the gloves and gauntlets. They seem to be working a LOT better than I figured they would for a first attempt.
