Xbox 360 Cooling Fan Question

Well i posted an internal cooler post, but i was confused. I have no warranty sticker
What i think i am going to buy is the XCM high speed air cooler, and the add on fans. They look good and they supposivley work pretty good.

someone suggested these, and said to get them because they work just as good

but i read up on them and people said they ruin your xbox and make it worse
Can someone help me, my xbox runs really loud and gets pretty hot, i do believe i need to buy new fans, should i get these?

that is the xcm high speed cooler which is internal. the intercooler is external. you have your names mixed up. just get the talismoon fans. cheaper and efficient. the xcm fans adjust so it will be quieter, but more likely to RROD because it isn't running at max potential all the time. the other fans don't adjust and are always at max efficiency. so it's up to you in this situation

I think the best way to explain this is that with each additional fan you put on the 360, you're adding a little heat from their motors. Add a bunch of extra fans, and that heat can add up. Even though those fans are spinning, they're still not making things cooler.

The fans are pointed inwards, so while you're pulling cool air in, you're also pulling in the heat of each fan motor.

They're just sucking in heat. True theres more power behind the air flow, but once they reach operating temperature it probably raises the overall temperature of the 360 a few degrees.

Another concern is the quantity of air flow. With more air coming in, theres more dust coming in too.

My sarcasm didn't translate well - it rarely does in a text only setting.
Anyway - Most fans pull heat out of a box not blow air into it... So I was just saying to blow air in is dumb....

Ah... I guess I overlooked that. I just checked and you are correct about this Lee. The fans are pointed outward on the 360.

Because these units DO NOT power themselves or feed an internal power supply like most fans for electronics do - they end up frying your system. The intercooler I know slides onto the box and makes a couple like thing between the power plug and the port.... This power connection interference is that fries the systems... So some sort of power issues... Low power / amperage / voltage can destroy components quickly.

I mean think about it would you take your computer hook something into your power cord then hook that into your pc??
No. Not unless you really knew what hell it did and could trust it. Also think about this - on your computer do you have fans plugged in pre-power supply... nope. Would you add a fan to your PC that hooked up pre-power supply... I hope not. These Xboxs are just small PCs and that's why they get so hot a lot of equipment in a little space... it's just a fact / design flaw.

wait.... so i shouldnt get replacement fans for the inside of the xbox? if i get replacements then the xbox will run the same, just be cooler :/ idk im confused on what to do

i installed a talismoon whisper max in my xbox around halloween after i repaired my RROD. and i haven't had any problems with overheating. and the website i ordered mine from said they they will replace my xbox if something happens to it while the fan is in it. but i say no to external fans. but only put internals in if you have no warranty.

where did you buy your fan? Others may be interested. I wouldn't recommend an external either. If it isn't under warranty or has no sticker, replace the internal fan.

i'm not so experienced with the coolers at xbox 360 but i learned from PC's and PS3's

The coolers are working on the same principle.I recommend an internal one and if u read wat was written at the cooler it says

External Xbox 360 air coolers can only cool the temperature of the Xbox 360's outer surface but do not cool the temperature of the CPU/GPU; therefore, making them useless to combat CPU/GPU overheating.

Better read everything don't jump to buy it.
