Honestly, crap parenting, loss of morality, negativity around the country and lack of responsibility on an individual level is contributing more to problems in the US than any president can encompass. Its a self fulfilling prophecy.
I agree 100% with you Adam, especially the crap parenting part. (I also don't mean to "necro-quote" if there is such a thing)

I kinda agree with Frost about the big pic of Obama. Don't flame me bro, but isn't there a limit on sig size? I'm just saying that because it's rather large and distracting.

As for who I support, well I can't vote for 2 more years, and because of that, politics isn't my top priority, but here are my thoughts:
I like Huckabee, he seems like a great guy, very down to earth, but sadly, I don't think he'll win the spot. That being said, I also have great respect for McCain, especially because of his service in the military, which might be what we need in a time of war. I'd want a president who wouldn't hesitate to do what needs to be done if America's security is ever threatened again. As for Romney, he was ok, a little too businessman-y for my tastes though. I don't support Hillary at all. She isn't what we need in my opinion. My thoughts on Obama are that he seems like a decent guy, I don't like his views on immigration though. It's a "lesser of two evils" kinda thing for me, I'd rather see him in office than Hitlery.

Haha im not gonna flame you, yes its true it is a bit big... im trying to find a smaller one. you can believe who ever you want and vote for who ever you want and like who ever you want and think what ever you want. BUT if you say stuff like what doc was saying its just not right. You dont insult people, you make educated comments, and you do not EVER say anyone should die.

@ Doc and lionheart: Thanks. :)

And what Adam said is pretty accurate.

Dems:
Hillary: got a lot of sympathy votes from women when she faked (yes, faked) crying that one time; Open Borders; wants to censor the Internet
Barack: represents a lot of change (largely towards socialism), but he's also a young unknown with virtually no experience; Open Borders
Edwards: dropped out

Repubs:
McCain: war vet and POW, looks like change but tastes like Bush; Open Borders (pretends otherwise)
Giuliani: how's he considered republican? he's pro-gun control, pro-abortion, pro-gay, cross-dresses; Open Borders
Huckabee: former pastor; pro-life; Open Borders (pretends otherwise)
Ron Paul: true conservative and supporter of the Constitution, but ignored by the major media; regardless he has a massive underground support force, thanks largely to the internet; he's the underdog of the race

WOW, thats a great synopsis. McCain does "taste like bush" i wanted to say that but didnt know how to put it. Guliani dropped out so forget him... and hillary just isnt a strong person... her female emotions will get in the way of leading the country... also the women who voted for her were ignorant and blind to the fact that hillary is a bad candidate.... they only focused on the fact she was a women.

I support president Bush.

The economy is doing fine.

Troops must stay in iraq, terrorists must die.

Water boarding must stay (only EFFECTIVE way to get info)

McCain-not consistant conservative.

I don't want changes, I don't want "fresh" I don't want a candidate who has no experience because he promises "change", or even more so because he is the first "black president", I don't want Hillary the witch, I don't want socialist programs imposed on me to make things "fair" when this country is only great because things are "unfair" aka Capitalism, and people have fair equal oppertunities, how they use them determines their status, which can always be changed.

My family lived in the Soviet Union for most of their lives, they know first hand what this "change" is like, universal health care is a garbage pipe dream, we have some of the best health care ever, anyone saying otherwise clearly has no first hand experience.

Oh, and if I so much as get a single penny taken away from me or my family because of "global warming" (no, I'm sorry, "global climate change") heads will roll.

By the way, would like to remind everyone that progress IS being made in iraq, and the type of enemy we are dealing with is the kind that straps bombs to mentaly retarded women, then sends them off unknowing and unsuspecting, and remote-detonates them. They must be stopped.

First, it's MormOn, and second. That's a very prejudice thing to say. Don't judge people based off their religious beliefs, especially if you don't know what those religious beliefs say. Mormons are christians.

Adam,
I respect you much more than I already did. I myself am LDS, and I almost turned away from the 405th because of a comment made about my religion. But thank you for saying that. Mormons do not hate African-Americans or gays. We just believe that marriage is for a man and a woman, and that gay marriage is a sin. We also don't hate African-Americans. It just took awhile for us to let them into the church. Don't ask why. But there is no hate at all.

Pillowfire,
I also respect you. My father is in Iraq right now, and he has been there for a year. This is his 3rd tour. It's not fun for me, but it's for a good reason. If we don't have troops in the Middle East, prepare for some severe terrorist attacks. If we leave their country, then they come to ours. That's how it works. Many people don't support the troops. How many of those people know why the don't support them? They have no reason to complain. Life is great in the states. It would be hell on earth if the war was brought to our soil. It's the truth and it's not something I enjoy thinking about. We have to do what is necessary.

God bless your father, I hope things turn out well for him, I obviously have no experience with war, but I know about it, and when you stop and think about what things would be like if people such as your father weren't there to protect us, it's a pretty scary thought.

"I support the troops, i just don't support the war" - Barrack Obama

That is something i believe as well. If you read the past post's you can see i know many people including a family member in iraq and it it terrible having them there, not knowing if they'll come back or what... I am sorry you hve to endure it, but thats the cost of war.... a reason why i dont support the war. Thank you're father from all of us at the 405th cause we do support him and the rest of the troops we just dont all believe in the war.... once again it is all in a person's own oppinion. And you have the right to your own oppinion.

Pillowfire,
I'm not sure if you know how much, but that means a lot to me. It's been a 12 months. He starts his process of getting home next week. That's when the scary stuff starts. 3 weeks of traveling by helicopter and convoy. Then it's over for good. He has served his 28 years in the Marines. He's seen his share. But thank you so much.
