Hey everyone
I've never made a post here before so I'm just gonna try to format this as best I can. I'm in the process of making a halo infinite suit out of foam and I've only seen one other person who's also done it entirely out of foam. This will be my 4th suit of armor (TF2 grapple pilot, angellegend chief, TF2 Viper, and now this) and I want to make this as detailed as possible. I'll attach pictures of my progress here as I have them. So far only the helmet is built.

I'm proud of the cleanliness of my foam work so far, even with a few seams here and there, it's overall sharp and not lopsided. In some pictures it may look thinner than it should, but pulling wider apart makes it look correct.
Opinions welcome

Filled most of the seams with Quickseal, sanded it a few times with a 350 grit, and then did my first coat of plastidip. I decided not to worry too much about the seams because looking at other peoples foam work, a lot of them don't seal theirs too much and it still looks great from a short distance. After I sprayed it however, I was surprised at how effective it all was in hiding the mistakes regardless of my semi hastiness. I'm going to try to buy some electronics soon, and experiment with wiring a long button for the helmet lights into my palm, which I will integrate into my gloves so I can turn the lights on without awkwardly reaching into my helmet. plus it should look cooler if the lights turn on seemingly automatically.

Loving your work, and like N8TEBN said extra brownie points for doing the helmet from foam. I would have tried to print one in peices, but then u get terrible seam lines that take tons of amateur effort to fix. But that bucket of yours just looks so good! Keep up the great work!

I think you mean RedRends, I can't make a foam helmet for the life of me XD

Awesome! You helmet looks very similar to mine, but better, lol.
ehh, I got lucky with some of the seams but yours has more details. I couldn't figure out how to do the thin side pieces with high enough quality cuts (though now I'm considering keeping them to basic shapes even if I don't have the 'grate' detail)

I really like how this shape at the front looks, even if it's missing the little divot in the front rectangle, it's almost completely seamless and feels like a real thing not made out of foam (I've used almost a whole can of plastidip on it because the helmet needs to be the best piece of all of them)

100% true. It looks great, keep up the good work, and thank you.

And now that I'm 17 I think it's time to make another suit.

I'm 17 too and just graduated actually which makes me the same age as Impact Props when he first started doing stuff(that reminds me I need to contact the mods to fix my age in the site)
This is my fourth full suit btw, before this I did a cheap Titanfall pilot, then Angellegends H4 chief, then Titanfall 2 viper, and now this

I had to change my age too. Thought I had to be 18 or something to have an account. My dad and I built an Optimus, then I did the witch king, a cardboard space suit, (Master Chief inspired) a mandalorian, and then Chief, which was close to two years ago.

two years sounded ridiculous at first but then I realized you started like mid 2021 and ended I think Feb 22 so yeah 2 years is roughly it, damn. I have those dates in my head rn cuz I was looking at your thread again like 15 mins before you found my thread here, and actually when you wrote your first message I thought to was a watched notification from your thread
