"Deliver Hope" Armor Build?

Just curious as to what it looks like they've made their armor out of, and if anyone here has tried to replicate it? It clearly isn't foam or rondo. And, if someone has done this as well, what costs are involved?

(Sorry if this question has been asked before, I just couldn't seem to get the archive search to work!)

i'm pretty sure they did a latex layer above the main foam part of the pieces, people here do a similar thing with flex-foam-it and liquid latex.

the person to ask would be daniel or trooper0621 he has gotten to play with it before...... the real suits i mean from the trailer......

I heard it was casted as foam. The wearer could only stay inside for 30 minutes or so(I think) due to ventilation. Better yet, why not ask SavageGiggles! She was the one in the Kat Armor at PAX

I'm not sure if that's the same suit because the person wearing the suit in the commercial is a man. It also could have been more than one suit used for filming as well. I worked on the first Iron-Man movie and they actually had two different version of the MKIII suit. One was the normal one that was made of mostly hard plastic and the other was for stunt work involving falling and rolling around and was mainly used in far shots. The latter of the suits was made of rubber with I believe impact style padding inside. They had two stunt men so they could have both suits ready at anytime.

It's sculpted from chevant clay, moulded and cast with foam latex, so it looks solid but is easy to move in... I'm familiar with using it and it is not cheap at all

This has been discussed in this thread:
http://www.405th.com/showthread.php/27957-Legacy-FX-may-have-used-this-method.
And you can see a short Behind-the-Scenes video in this thread:

The suit was made by LegacyFX, and almost all of their masters are made via 3d printing. They don't address it specifically in this video but they usually mention 3d printing in their interviews. They do touch on using Bungie's ingame assets. These were cast in a flexible foam, as Savagegiggles and Trooper0621 have both said and is vaguely mentioned in the video.
