Shoulders and chest look incredible! I'm deciding whether I should print that portion along the sides of the torso or craft something out of fabric and foam for better arm motion.

Thanks! I think the 3d print woukd look better, but that's just my opinion and you can see that I prefer the 3d printing over foam.

I thought I should share a very cool tool I've come across that really helps with getting rid of layer lines.

It's called a card scraper/cabinet scraper. I've never heard of this before, and it does a fantastic job of carving away layer lines!

This is with one pass of using the card scraper on a raw print, and then with one wet coat of filler primer.

I worked on combining a bunch of the chest pieces today in hopes to get closer to sanding out the final seams and to start painting!

Because of the way I 3d modeled the shoulder gaskets (black parts), they line up perfectly with where the outer chest shells should be, so I used these gaskets as a guide when aligning the parts as they were glued together.

Eventually all of these parts will be together in one piece, and I will put on the chest top down.

those gaskets look amazing!! are you going to add any swivel to them or are they permanently glued in place?

Well nothing is glued in place yet, but I've found that they can be static and I can have enough range of motion anyways.
