Spartan J114

New Member
How's it going everyone. I'm Spartan 114 and I've been a Halo cosplayer/prop maker for about 3 years now and I've been using the 405th website for most of my journey. I never posted anything because of my lack of quality camera, I have recently replaced my old phone with a new one and as such I have gained access to a better camera. As of the time of this post it is night time and I don't have any quality photos of my Work In Progress Armour but as soon as i can i will be updating this thread with pictures. Im hoping to become more un touch with the 405th community, specifically anyone is Australia as that is where i am located. That's all of now but if you happen to see this... please say hi, I'd love to begin talking with fellow halo fans/cosplayers. Spartan 114, Signing off

Hoorah! We got another Aussie in the ranks, welcome to the 405th! Which part of Australia do you hail from?
Looking forward to seeing some pictures, don't worry about quality too much, I think we all would rather spend time working on our projects then getting the best possible WIP pictures.

Here are the biceps and shoulders, I still need to Attach them both together
Next up are the forearms, these are the second oldest parts of this armor and I am considering rebuilding them alongside the shins which are currently the oldest part of this armor set

Here are the Shins, as you can see they are not that great when it comes to quality, i started this project way back in late 2018 when i was still a noob when it comes to foamsmithing, I have scrapped and rebuilt many of the armour components including the forearms, thighs, Chestplate, biceps, shoulders boots and the shins. The shins are the only part of the old prototype to still be a part of my current set. I used to use hot glue back then but as all my fellow Aussies will know, hot glue melts in the sun sometimes causing high stress points to come apart.

Here is one of the knees, the other one is not printed and this still needs weathering like most of the armor

Up next is the cod/abdominal section, this part still needs sealing and painting

Here is my neck section, it still needs Velcro on the wider area to attach my Chestplate
Here are both of the MK V helmets, the green one was a prototype that I made before I understood how to edit 3d files and as such there are a lot of visible seam lines and thats why i made this one my "Battle Damaged" variant. The other helmet is still being worked on but is of much higher quality.

Awesome! Looks like you've already got most of the armour done. It's great to see how just in this one build, how far you've come from its start to current state.

Going to have to follow my bois. Once again. You are doing so well in your progress spartan. Be proud of your suit and the work you are doing! Can’t wait to see more!

The quality of your work isn't directly reflected by the type of camera you use. Good luck and look forward to seeing more!!
